What's the right price? Well, if we're talking Boston, Brown and the BKN '17 pick has to be the starting point, and we'd ideally push that to include one of Bradley or the BKN '18 pick as well.

I'd want their own pick in 2017 too.

Brown, Brooklyn's 2017, Celtic's 2017, and Bradley.

Now that is something I would maybe do.

Celtics pick is a swap with the Nets, so C's pick is untouchable this year.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Let's avoid getting snarky, work with me here.
I also said that you may be able to get the 2018 Nets pick which should be good too.

What are yall expecting for Jimmy if that's not good enough?

As an example.

Butler

For

Jokic - Murray - and both their 1sts this year. This would be better.

Better, but I would never do this either.

After the season is over. Philly 1st, Lakers 1st, Okafor or Noel. Though Philly would never do it.

Ah yeah.

So Brown, Brooklyn's 2017 and 2018 + Bradley.

I would consider that, but I still go no.

Ending up with Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball or Dennis Smith/Jayson Taytum and Memphis pick is a solid building block for yall right?

You have to be kidding. An unknown draft albeit pick high and garbage for one of the top players in the league. By the time your draft pick stockpile even begins playing winning basketball they will be up for new contracts, meanwhile Thomas,Brown,Crowder, and Bradley will have already been up for new contracts. Enjoy your 1rst rd playoff victories because thats all you'll get.

I don't see Philly as a good partner - they're probably more inclined to keep the core young and use their picks instead of trading them, and even then, their other tradeable pieces aren't much to write home about.

IMO, even the worst GMs learn from history and past mistakes. The team getting the best player which in this case would be Boston has to give a lot of assets because there is no sure-fire all-star type to build around in Boston. And, this has to happen after the draft lottery because who knows what Brooklyn will do or if they will get the 3rd pick.

In blunt terms, Boston has to give up multiple picks(3) because they do not have a promising young player they are giving up. Atleast Minnesota has Wiggins/picks even if many people think Wiggins is not so good. Drafting is a crap-shoot and the Bulls would want at-least 1 out of 3 chances to land a good pick in the draft for giving up Butler.

Boston's problem is they do not have a good young player and if one of your recent young picks proves they are good but needs development for a few years, then those picks requirement might come down.

It's the number 1 pick in one the best drafts in recent history.
If that's not good enough, then what is a fair deal?

Keep in mind that Jimmy is going to want to go to a winning team with a chance to compete. His agent can help sway this process. Does Jimmy Butler really want to go to Denver? If Denver knows he doesn't wanna play there long term, do they give up anything significant rather than keeping their guys and re-signing them later? This goes for all potential trade destinations.

Yeah I agree. Just that they could offer a package that would make it palatable to trade Butler for.

They would have Embiid, Noel, Simmons, and Butler as a core. That's something.

Sounds like you haven't watched him play and are just making an assumption based on him being white.

The upcoming draft is always hyped up as the best draft in years. Tired of seeing it.

There is no surefire pick in the draft.

You know who is surefire? Jimmy Butler.

The Bulls better clean house in any Butler trade.
