Especially against any team with a relatively competent big man (unlike Charlotte) or any team with center that is even slightly quick.

I definitely would love to see him out there instead of Baynes though. 15-20mpg is probably his sweet spot. He can have a field day against some of these teams.

Too far. Boban > Baynes is the much better and more reasonable thread. Hard to make an argument for Aron at this point. He's invisible on offense and his defense isn't anything worth writing home about. I get that fans like him and his constant try-hard mentality and energy on the court, but give me the better basketball product. Not like Marjanovic is any worse of a matchup against quicker bigs than Baynes is. Don't really want either out there with them. But that's what Leuer is for.

Not to overreact or anything.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Boban is a beast and quicker than this board is giving him credit for. He can score, pass, rebound and is an actual defensive presence.

Drummond has real value. Let's trade him and get some shooting in the door.

This Summer might be the perfect time to trade him.

A bad year for franchises in Dallas & Lakers that are dying to make a big move for a franchise player. Strong draft.

Drummond to Dallas for their pick/role player.
Drummond to LA for Randle + their pick/picks.

Edit I think Lakers pick is going to Philadelphia.

I saw 3 things in Boban tonight that ive never seen Drummond do. A behind the back pass, rim protection and great team overall defense

Boban may be > Baynes, but Drummond is better than Boban. This guy was an allstar & 3rd team all nba last year fam. Seems like a lot of his problems stem from him not getting calls. Idk why Drummond even wants calls, he misses free throws more than he makes them.

But back to the topic, teams will start planning for Boban. Charlotte looked completely caught off guard by him tonight. But I will say he's a lot better than I thought he was. I just assumed he wasn't capable of playing big minutes OR would get embarrassed on defense, but that's not the case it seems.

Boban is without question better than dre defensively. Dre is horrible defensively.HORRIBLE.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Denfensively boban is everything we are missing. We are easily a top ten team if dre patrolled paint like boan. And without question boban should play ahead of baynes. One last point. Did anyone notice how Charlotte grabbed momentum in the 4 th when dre entered the game?

Boban only has to stand by the hoop and put his hands up. Dude is 7ft 3-4. Not to hard to scare people in the paint when you're that big. Having said that Dre is a huge dissappointment in being a defensive presence in the paint

Boban understands his limitations and positions himself pretty well. That's where you see Marjanovic able to make an impact on the boards and at the rim. It's not just a product of his size. This was known though... except by those who didn't watch him in San Antonio. Anybody tuning in watching Pistons games and seeing Marjanovic certainly couldn't know much about him given Van Gundy's hesitance to not play Baynes.

Boban and Noel at the C is perfect. One is shifty and lanky, the other is the mountain. Great pairing.

PLUS, still have Leur and Elleson for some other minutes at the 5 if needed.

Get rid of Dre for Klay, Reggie for Noel!
