Here's a trade that I would do for Butler.

Butler and 2017 first to Philly for Simmons, Okafor and Philly 2017 first.

Yes, I know that sounds ludicrous af and that's because it's supposed to. We shouldn't be taking anything for Butler that doesn't clearly lay a legit foundation for the future. Next year this time might be a different situation. But as of now, Jimmy "statistically" is a top ten guy. We may not be that great. But we certainly aren't a team in turmoil to the extent where we should be gift wrapping that type of player.

I would personally like to keep Butler. But if we trade him to Boston, I'd want both the Nets 2017 & 2018 1st Picks + Brown.

I'd also fire Gar in the off-season regardless if Butler is traded or not. Bring back Matt Lloyd because I can't stand another draft in which Gar makes a horrible selection.

Celtics source saying we want a lot -

Speaking of Celtics, do yourself a favor and don't go on the Celtics board. Some of them have delusionally low expectations for what they can get Butler for. It will annoy you.

I can't live with seeing Butler on another team, it's too much to bear.

I say give it another offseason, if by January next year the Bulls are still a .500 team then trade Butler.

I really hope they are trying to get millsap. A player like that can change things around for us this season.

Hoiberg
Gar

For
Brooklyn Picks in 2017 & 2018
Brown
Ainge
Stevens
Crowder

GET IT DONE PAX

According to KC Johnson during summer,

The Bulls' asking price then was a starter, a rotation player and two first-round picks. And Butler has been even better this season. So even if the Bulls engaged in the process — sources said they have rebuffed the type of exploratory calls that happen leaguewide all the time — the asking price would be even higher.

Boston doesn't have the pieces the Bulls want for a 2017 Butler unless they give up a lot.

Fans of teams looking to add the impact player ALWAYS wants to give up the least amount as humanly possible. It is why fans are NOT the GM, and hell fans are even pretty bad arm chair gms. If a Butler trade happen, that Celtics board will be in meltdown over what Ainge gives up for Butler.

There is no deal the Celtics can put together that would make me want to trade Butler. None. Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder and unresolved draft picks? That's all you got?? Please.

The demand for Jimmy is a young player with superstar potential and a top 3 pick. Boston has no young player that has any kind of star potential and we have no idea where Brooklyn's picks are going to be yet. If there is a team the Bulls should be talking to it's Philly or Minnesota.

I'd trade Jimmy Butler. Time to cash in.

He's not Michael Jordan. Hell, he's not even Pippen and the Bulls were going to trade Pip to Seattle for Kemp. Do it in the summer though, not now. So we can possibly get Josh Jackson and Lonzo Ball for Butler, Niko, McDermott, his mom, Benny the Bull, and our first rounders? I'm in.

It would be a dream to keep Butler and be bad enough to get a top 3 pick without trading though.

Not to object to what you said, just for sake of it, but lets be real for a moment. If we are looking for a Michael Jordan, Lebron type of player every single season, we would need to go the Sixers route and suck for basically a decade.

He really doesn't but if it helps u sleep better

Simmons is a top notch prospect with an incredible feel for the game to be so young.

Plus Chicago would get Jahlil Okafor back.

There is no better option to rebuild than that one. Not Minne, nor Lakers nor Boston.

Scottie's best season (while Jordan was retired) was 22 pts/ 8.1 r/5.2 ast w/a PER of 23.2 and TS% of .544. Butler is currently doing 25.2 its/6.8 r/4.5 ast w/ a PER of 26.3 and TS$ of .590. Those performances aren't super distinguishable.

Well, there is that 20 year old guy Boston drafted who Jimmy said he sees a lot of himself in.

When Chicago signed Rondo they basically told everyone they're not building the team around Butler(ball dominate PG), then they added Wade who duplicates what Butler does(at a lower level now). I'd be all for keeping Butler if they made some moves to start building the team around him(getting him some roleplayers) but they've not done that as of yet, Chicago has basically wasted a year of his prime for nothing.

We may not even see another MJ or LBJ.

Kings pick instead of phillys pick I'd do it. Butler just put himself in top 10 caterogry for the season.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Fair asking price on our side? Sure. But would Philly do it? Highly doubtful.

I think both Simmons and their 1st are off limits given where they are in their stage of rebuilding.

There is always another. As to whether it will be in the next year, in 5 years time or 20, great players are out there, or being born.
