Jrue Holiday.

Also, don't believe Wilson Chandler is a free agent, or even has an opt out til 2018.

Jrue Holiday is the one guy I think the Nets should look into but not sure he'll even consider listening to the Nets unless it's a huge offer that he's not getting elsewhere....You could also pair Lin/Holiday in the back-court since both are about 6'4 with combo-guard style.

Mike Muscala
Mike Scott*

Since the Hawks are rebuilding.......

Ian Clark would be nice.

With the rule change, are we gonna go serial poaching RFAs?

Put that Asterisk next to Reddick cause there's no way the Clippers make it past the first round this season

Nikola Mirotic*
Nerlens Noel*(force Sixers to make big $ commitment)
Otto Porter

I almost say screw UFA and just go hard for RFAs

I think Detroit matches on Caldwell Pope. The guy is a burner from downtown and has good defensive IQ. We need two way players.

I am very suspect of WAS matching on Porter. They'd have to be insane.

UNRESTRICTED and REALISTIC

Amir Johnson* (29) 6.5/4.4/1.9
Mike Scott* (28) 7 games played 3/3/1.4
Tiago Splitter* (32) Not playing in the league this year.
Jonas Jerebko* (29) 4.5/3.3/0.8
Gerald Green* (30) 17 games played 5/2/1.1
Taj Gibson* (31) 12/7/1.2
Aron Baynes* (30) 4.3/4.1/0.3
Jrue Holiday* (26) 14.5/3.5/7.2
Vince Carter* (39) I feel like he's more likely to retire than sign with us given the choice
Ersan Ilyasova* (29) 14/6.4/1.5 Likely won't be re-signed given their bigs situation
Serge Ibaka* (27) 15.5/6.9/1.1 Reports say he's likely older than listed also see Orlando re-signing
Jodie Meeks* (29) 9.2/2.1/1.3
P.J. Tucker* (31) 6.2/5.5/1.1
Rudy Gay* (30) 18.5/6.3/2.9
Omri Casspi* (28) 6.2/4.0/1.2

Added in ages of said realistic unrestricted FAs likely to change teams and basic stats for the season. No mobile defensive centers available, it's a position of desperate need going into this year's draft for us. Youngest guy is Jrue, who's kind of redundant with Jeremy Lin and Sean Kilpatrick, especially if Harris and LeVert fight for SG minutes. The only guys that are close to two way players will cost us close to a max to drag them over here (Gibson, Ibaka, Gay) and would have to be on long-ish term deals. But given we don't own our draft pick next year I'd like to see a better mentor for our young guys than Scola/Foye.

Also swing for the fences again in RFA.

Reddick and Mirotic would be the best system fits - hopefully Marks is willing to make a serious offer for both

Keep in mind, the new CBA has changed the rules on RFA. Teams now have 24 hours to make a decision on an offer sheet.

That helps us. We only tie up cap for 24 hours and if the team doesn't match, we get to move on to the next one quickly. No more of this waiting until the last few hours just to punish another team for extending a contract to a player.

And it's a lot easier to hand out poison pill contracts. Teams don't have as much time to deliberate on it like Miami did. We basically lost out on Tyler Johnson due to those two extra days.

If we end up trading Lopez, would you guys be open to a bid for Mason Plumlee to return?

11ppg 8rpg 4apg 19PER rating 57%TS and a plus defensively.

and at this point, if Marks makes a competitive offer for Otto Porter, I'm on board with it. He's 23 years old, his metrics are excellent and with a coach like Kenny who specializes in getting guys to expand their game, the ceiling is pretty high.

Give him the money. we literally have NOTHING to lose here.

We need two way players.

If you tell me this time next year our starting 1-2-3 is Lin, LeVert, and Porter Jr I sign up right now. Three two way players that can all hit outside shots and have high defensive IQs. Add RHJ into the mix and we now have guys that can defend multiple positions and switch on every screen, especially if we can continue to develop RHJ as a combo forward that can hold his own in a small ball line up at the 4.

yes, I'm penciling LeVert in as a two way guy and a starter next year. I've seen enough, his defensive instincts cannot be taught and the offense will uptick.

I actually don't think that's the case. IMO, teams no right away whether they're matching. They just wait the extra time on purpose to stick it to the team that offered the contract, since the team can't use their cap if the home team hasn't matched yet.

From what I remember (although I could be wrong) both Micky Arison and Paul Allen knew they were retaining Tyler Johnson and Allen Crabbe respectively once the owners were informed that the offer sheets were official.

Allen i'm sure knew he was going to shell out that money for Crabbe, but I think Arison's situation is a bit iffy since Miami got blindsided by Wade calling Riley's bluff. That extra time really screwed us.
