Ha. It's been like 10 years or so, right?

I'm still holding out hope that Rod Strickland's Towel returns with his Dance Team Formula. That formula was the most tried and true predictor of game outcomes.

The Secret Weapon/Nivek/Kevin Broom posted and tweeted recently that his Wizards content is moving to Bullets Forever, including a possible podcast. https://kevinbroom.com/2017/01/05/programming-note/

Looking forward to it. #MoreYODA.

Big surprise. The backstabber twists the blade a bit more.
I won't be reading his drivel.

Nivek won't post here because he now knows the John Wall Effect is real and is ashamed to admit that his "stuff" missed that.

I should point out that his "stuff" also has nothing useful to contribute to the two most interesting topics of discussion about the Wiz these days:

1. The status of AD'sK
2. What Scott Brooks thinks of Dirk Nowitski

He's hosting podcasts with Kev, now. So you know, maybe too good for the riffraff as well.

I don't mind at all that Kev/Fish have started doing more ambitious and interesting Wizards content. It's great. But, I think they'd be smart simply to check in here and post links to their new podcasts, blog posts, etc....

There's an old saying: "you meet the same people on the way down that you met on the way up." Someone needs to whisper it into their ears. It's never a good idea to alienate your core (i.e. original) followers.

Does BF pay anything to the columnists/podcasters? I can see the appeal of reaching a larger audience than what's possible with your own blog.

RealGM gets about 800k unique visitors a month (based on ad impressions). These estimates are always notoriously high, so I suspect it's more around 500k actual people.

Looking deeper nearly 80% of visitors are from New York City, Toronto, Chicago and Boston.

Just doing a quick ratio of posts in each board, I suspect this board has less than a few hundred registered users at this point.

He can reach exponentially more than that in less than 5 minutes on Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn or Facebook. It was the smart move, forums still have their antiquated uses but he was wise to move on to other platforms.

Oh, I don't blame him for going to Bullets Forever, or twitter. No need to peace out so quickly though. I mean, as soon as the check cleared, he was out the door. What a turncoat.
What did Thompson write about Nixon--"He could shake your hand and stab you in the back at the same time"? Well I wouldn't even shake this scumbag's hand, even if I just watched him use an entire bottle of Purell hand sanitizer directly beforehand. IMO, his hands are permanently filthy, it's the hallmark of a Benedict Arnold social climber.

It's the smart move. Tessio was always smarter.

The one/two punch of BLM/Trump sent him over the deep end I think (his twitter feed is pure rage). Great analyst, good guy, but that stuff set him off more than most.

Perhaps "more than most," but there's a lot of that going around.

I listened to their first podcast (there's two so far) and it was good, easily digestible, not heavily weighed down by numbers and advanced metric slang, and very familiar to people who frequent this board. It was pretty smooth for a first effort, and would be a good listen during a commute. Unfortunately, they aren't real optimistic about where the Wizards are headed (what a surprise, though Ben's always a little more the optimist) but I recommend listening for yourself.

PS: I think they should go by The Secret Cob
