I should know this by now, but I don't. If I trade a player who has an extension kicking in after this season, what is his cap number in terms of trading?

Steven Adams $3,140,517 $22,471,911 $24,157,304 $25,842,697 $27,528,088
Greatest Bulls of All Time: 1. TONY SNELL 2. Jordan 3. Pippen 4. Rose 5. Gilmore

For you trading out, he counts as $3,140,517.

For the team getting Adams, he would count as the average of all remaining years. It makes guys who just signed an extension almost impossible to trade.

Also, if you ever aren't sure on a deal, at least until you make a bunch of moves, ESPN trade machine is definitely your friend for a quick check. RealGM has a trade checker as well.

Can't believe I got the Cavs, hilarious. Just deciding on team direction, there could be a fire sale on the way though....

Wait... really? Am I just really rusty at this or did we not play with that rule in the past? I never remember that being a thing, I thought players even with an upcoming extension just cost their current rookie scale salary until the extension kicks in next season for any team.... Really baffled here....

Apologies if this has been addressed anywhere, but what do we do about the players who are injured (I see injuries were a part of the roster templates). When do they come back if they're not out for the year in real life?

I was under the same impression. I don't recall doing this in the last few. I just wanted to clarify because it is a funky rule.

I don't know if they are handled differently for GMAT. That someone else would have to answer. Since this is for fun, it might make sense to make it so those players are possible to be traded.

All right, New GMAT, Let's do this!

Milwaukee is ready and rearing. We want to build a young contender around Giannis, Greek Freak will almost certainly not move in this game, feel free to make offers but unless they're crazy I will simply respond "no thanks." Other than that I'm open to anything, looking to get better and younger!

Denver is up. Really not sure what to do with this team. Jokic is the only guy I'm really attached to... willing to entertain anything though. Want to pick a clear direction and either rebuild or contend but not sure which.

I was gonna ask something similar. Normally we just assume all players are healthy, do you have a different notion for this DV?

Anyone interested in a 3 team deal that would like either Thad Young or Monta Ellis?

Utah is looking for someone interested in Pacers players in order to entertain a trade. Everyone other than Turner and PG seem to be on the table, let me know cause I'm sure the Pacers GM would love to get some smooth Jazz players :)
