Keep the undercover tank going strong. Play hard against good teams, & rest our best players when we play team as bad as us.

But at the end, it's all about money and winning.

Integrity: either you have it or you don't.

This is a game. With a lot of flopping, fouls that you don't see, players resting when they shouldn't, and all sort of things. Where is the honor and the integrity on that? Or what about when we avoid winning a game to get a better playoff spot? I'm trying to be supportive of your position as well. But as a team owner, I wouldn't be losing millions of dollars because some fan want the team to win 3 or 4 more games (mininless games). And then, because of the lack of talent, we are in a never ending cicle of losing.

I will quote the Hall of Famer Magic Johnson. Some one who knows better than all of us. And he never mentioned honor or integrity:

“I hope the Lakers lose every game, because if you’re going to lose, lose. I’m serious. If you’re going to lose, you have to lose, because you can’t be in the middle of the pack. You either have to be great or you have to be bad, to get a good (draft) pick.”

Spo is not going to obviously tank, not on a Riley team. No coach worth having would tell a player or team to go out there and be mediocre, especially players who do not get regular court time.

Riley was the 2012 recipient of the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award, which commemorates the former Detroit coach's life in basketball and his "standard of integrity, competitive excellence and tireless promotion" of the game.

Is that what you think the 76ers did? You think they told their guys to go out there and turn the ball over and miss shots?

I guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad. And I have to  at Chuck Daly having integrity. The man fielded a hockey team ... goons and all. They mugged teams all game every game. They tried to physically intimidate and possibly injure players. Please!

The players will play hard at all times. Its in their nature. Tanking is about resting players against certain teams.

I don't follow the sixers and or know what is their strategy . Obviously, it's not working and they do not have a winning tradition, at least in recent times.
Leoshes has the same view as I do. No need to play what's left of the starters all the time; in fact, that is an ill-advised move in games where Miami is either way ahead or way behind. Play all different types of combos on court and see what they can do. Maybe even leave them on court during rough patches. The Heat have always found diamonds in the rough that way.

I mean everyone on the team has laid it all out there and we're the third worst team right now.

If teams like Philly, Minnesota and even Boston pick ahead of us then it could hit us pretty hard. Those teams already have better talent to build around and them having higher picks will just keep us where we're at while they stockpile OKC style. Drafting higher is not guaranteed success at all but there's a big difference IMO if we picked 3rd and got a Dennis Smith Jr vs picking 7th or 8th for Lauri Markannen.

I think people have a hard time accepting we're bad. I don't really know why though. We don't have very good players or a leader. Whiteside, TJ, JR, Winslow, and Dragic are good. But out of a 15 person roster, that's pretty horrible.

This team isn't as bad as people think. We have been going threw injuries back & forth. Add that we are young so young players make mistakes. They turn over the ball. & most important is we don't have a closer. There were so many games that we lost by only a few points. That's also has to do with having a young team. What we need is a vet go to guy to add to our young guys. Who & how ? I have no idea. :-?

If we could do something like Butler for Dragic, & Winslow, & a future pick, but with out trading this years pick, which is the hard part.
