40 PPG, seems reasonable.

When they guys in the league are posting NBA record's like in triple double (most since Oscar) or best 3pt shooting in history, both attempts and percentage, or just by crusing through the league posting Lebron's like nothing, and on top of that when new guys start putting and becoming 1st NBA player ever in top 20 in PTS-REB-AST-STL-BLK in same season. In game where both Lebron and Jordan existed. Yh. He does.

Cause that's what superstars do.

You'll notice they never dump it in to Felcio...ever. He's got bad hands, balls bounce out of his hands, for some reason. He was benched early in the season because on 3 straight possessions, they tried to get it to him in the post, with 3 consecutive turnovers...

Love his footwork, though...and his hops.

Wade won't really get in the way of it now.

Biggest gain will be his assists, and passing that everyone has been bellyaching over. Before he was in a scorer role, now he's in a dual role.

Ok after calming down a bit let me talk about that game.

Doug and Niko HAVE to start hitting shots. Man I was growing major frustration seeing Doug and Niko blow wide open shot after shot. Both did hit big shots in the 4th but they have plenty of chances to do so.

Doug had a good and frustrating game all rolled into one. He missed so many wide open shots and bunnies he really could have had 26-30 pts tonight. Niko...well Niko is Niko.

I thought Felicio also had a good bad game rolled into one as well. Its like he doesn't know who he is on either end of the floor. Some times he crashes the board hard and finishes strong. Other times he just is weak with it and fumbles it around. On defense he will either make the stop and rebound, or let someone roll in for a easy layup.

The thing with young players though is that veterans will eat them alive. Lowry really was just running full speed into them and the refs would call a foul. The ones on Grant especially.

But as for the game, I don't know if it was Fleet or Rerisen that said it but the Bulls right now look like Jordan's Bulls before Scottie, Grant etc. Even the way Jimmy has won games the last week is nearly identical.

I said it after his 52 point game and I'll say it again - Butler is nearing untouchable status. You can laughably dismiss 95% of the offers we see from other teams for him.

Big changes to the supporting cast need to happen at the deadline, though.

It was pretty masterful, it was the closest I've seen to Jordan-esque.

To quote the man himself,
Jimmy Butler wrote:“First off, I think I am a point guard,” Butler said without joking. “So I’ve done a heck of a lot of ball screen work, ball handling, getting into the paint and still handling, floaters, all that stuff point guards do. If I get a chance, high pick and roll more. I want some triple doubles. I’ve got to get my handle right so I can pass and get it to guys where they can make shots. I told Fred. You ask what position I play, I say point guard.”

The superstar talk is all subjective, obviously. My criteria is simple: Can he be the best player on a championship team? My answer before the season on Jimmy was no; My answer now is I don't think so, but Jimmy is doing everything he can to prove that he can.

The biggest thing that Jimmy needs to prove is can he find ways to score efficiently against great defenses and individual defenders? Everytime he goes up against the likes of Kawhi Leonard and the Greek Freak he just doesn't look like he's in their same class at times. I think part of the problem is the roster. It's easier to hone in on guys when you aren't scared of anybody else.

I guess Jimmy is going to be player of the week, right? Three wins against two top teams and a good team in the Hornets, all while putting up 38-9-6.

Having a better overall team helps. Those teams just make it a point to focus in on him and then shut the team down.

I know I did. I also know, you guys are too smart to believe that I mean that Jimmy = MJ, right? Because he is not, and I would not say that.. But that's the role Jimmy has on this team, MJ circa '86, and that's how this team wins or loses when it faces good opposition. He goes off, they probably win. If not, they almost certainly lose.
