5? FIVE?

I think the chances are more like .005% than 5%.

Great game despite the 2nd quarter being so annoying to me. The Bulls were just missing shots and turning over the ball in that quarter. If this team can get a consistent 2nd scorer with Jimmy, hit 3s, and defend 3s better, they should be able to turn things around in a big way. But if they at least obtain two of those needs, they should make the playoffs.

It almost lost the game as well. Mirotic and Felicio were getting abused in pick and roll.

That lineup took the floor when Jimmy entered the game with 7:54 left in the 4th quarter and the Bulls down 96-83.

Over that final 12:54, they outscored Toronto 40-22.

I guess we have vastly different definitions of "almost lost the game".

So you'll willfully ignore the bad defense by Mirotic and Felicio including Felicio's foul on Lowry OK
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Meh, I don't think he was ever getting fired during the season anyways. The front office (Gar Forman, in particular) has too much invested in him to give up after a year and a half.

Rondo was definitely holding Jimmy back. Props to Fred for making the move. So bizarre how a guy can go from starting to being out completely. Done. Just like that. Decision made.

Wonder if Butler's latest play will make the FO aggressive on the market to improve the team and make a deep postseason push, then still hope to land a player via FA?

Cause isn't it more ideal to make trades for proven players instead of betting on young players(draft) when your star player is 27 years of age?

Seems like a lot of teams are going fire sale

We have quality assets to vastly improve this team.

It's been time to put up or shut up for awhile

It wouldn't hurt to abort the free agency plan, and build the team now. If you add a milsap, and add maybe a Wilson chandler and Lou williams to your bench, that is a team that would be hard for milsap to walk away from, and could contend tomorrow.

But it really feels like garpax only have a few teams that will even work with them. That makes it more difficult to improve

Still holding out hope they can trade Rondo for an expiring somehow.

Obviously, very unlikely.

I keep thinking how Etwuan Moore would be perfect.

I'm sure they're hoping we don't end up the 7th seed. I don't see it lasting more than 6.

I like Millsap. Would be a decent move but Cousins should be the #1 priority. I wonder does the benching of Rondo play a negative role in his mind though.

This is for sure what we need to do. Millsap is the best free agent big this summer. Don't wait for Wade to be another year older go all in for it now and build from there.

Cousins is about to get an extension. Millsap and Whiteside should be our 2 top targets. We need an all star big.

Damn Jimmy.

If the Bulls don't get Jimmy some help by the summer---at the least---I want Jimmy traded and the franchise rebooted. No need to waste Jimmy's prime on a very mediocre Bulls team.

LOL, I'm just not completely unrealistic, expecting 100% perfection. :banghead:

The Wade/Jimmy/Doug/Niko/Felicio lineup gave up 16 points on 21 possessions over the final 12:54, that's beyond outstanding efficiency overall.

DeRozan (6th in PPG, 12th in PER) and Lowry (19th in PPG, 18th in PER) are two of the absolute best scorers in the NBA, I expect them to score some points in the 4th quarter and OT.

If you're a Bulls fan and you want Butler traded you need to walk into a closet, and just stay there a few days until you've had enough time to evaluate what's important in your life and how you've reached the thoughts and conclusions you have at this stage and where you went wrong.

The Bulls had no business winning that game, NONE

They didn't play well at all, they looked like they'd given up at so many points, Wade aged about 5 years by halftime, MCW looked like he wants to take a seat next to Rondo, dude passed the ball to the Raptors more than he did to the Bulls, how they have him with just 3 turnovers I'm not sure, either way considering he had just 4 assists that's not a great ratio.

The boxscore won't show much but I really liked what Felicio was doing out there, keeping the ball alive on the offensive glass, he gets his hands on everything, he doesn't always get it back to the Bulls but he does enough to keep the big men fighting for the rebound and preventing a quick hand off to the guards for a fast break

Defensively the Bulls need so much work...who am I kidding they need it on offense too, the offense looks brutal, they take so much time to run anything and what they're running who knows, but they sure love to turn it over or take a bad shot after 22 seconds of pointless movement, maybe Hoiberg is actually Hinrich with a mask on?

I don't need to go into what Jimmy did with the scoring, rebounding, assists, if you saw the game you know what you saw

Excellent job at the line 36-39 more than half the attempts by Butler (18-20) a couple he didn't deserve but whatever neither did the Raptors on many plays, the refs were terrible on both ends

Bulls bench great job rebounding the ball, they'll need to keep doing that.

The only Bull to shoot over 50% was Grant going 2-3..good thing he made those free throws at the end because Butler was strangely wide open

I still don't get the poor 2nd quarters by this team, Fred needs to try something different, it seems the Bulls always lose that quarter

I don't agree with this 'hanging on the rim technical' if you don't want to get back on defense, let the other team run, that doesn't need a technical..neither does a player slamming the ball down in frustration, just let them play.

Why is MCW a PG? Seriously, what about his game says PG? He has poor handles, poor decision making, no outside shot, can't throw an entry pass despite having several inches to see over most opponents. I don't hate the kid, I'd rather have him out there than Rondo and he can play some good defense, but I don't see why he's a PG.

Neil Funk loves the word 'squirt' ..what is wrong with him?

I'm so happy the Bulls won, they're still stuck in 8th but at least they have some kind of momentum, they're undefeated since I've got to London, I should maybe extend my trip till July...

We miss guys like Moore and Justin Holiday. Those are two big pieces I feel that would be making us a much better team right now.

Wade only did 2 good things in this game

1. The cut to the basket for the dunk when Jimmy drew all the attention

2. Making sure the ball was in Jimmy's hands at the end

Other than that he is getting worse as the season goes on, where is that guy from the first few weeks of the season?
