Just looked up Monk's measurements, 6'3" with a 6'3" wingspan, no wonder he's not rated higher. That is a small SG. He's smaller than TJ.

What's his standing reach? High shoulders usually help this.

Think he actually has a 6'6" wingspan. Either way, he could develop into a decent PG. Teams will be making the same mistake they made with Curry.

Didn't realize how many PF's are projected to go in 10-20th pick range. So half of the first 10 lottery picks are PGs and half of projected picks 10-20 are PFs. I would be pretty happy with any of Fultz (obv), DSJ, and Ball. I'm starting to feel the same way about PF's. I like Markannen, Isaac, Hartenstein, Rabb, and why not take a chance on Giles.

Considering how PG heavy this draft is, and how well Isaiah is playing for Boston. I wonder if they are really considering trading the pick. I think alot of teams would want to be in their position, being in the playoff hunt while having a pick thats really high. However, you could argue the pick may not develop properly since Boston has already developed players at each spot other than center. Jaylen Brown is getting like 10-15 minutes a game behind Crowder. Interesting situation though.

Celtics can make an upgrade at backup PG. They could take Ball at #2, odds are against them that they get the #1 pick. I just hope we get DSJ, Fultz or Tatum.

I remember an NBA scout talking about how you should never draft someone based on their outlier comparison, instead you should ask yourself what role player they resemble for their floor. Like so many of these undersized 2's who can't shoot who never live up to the D Wade comparison.

Monk's ability to play PG will probably make or break him in the NBA. They said the same thing about Wade but didn't take into account the fact that he had a centers wingspan and monstrous strength.

Josh Jackson is Danny Ainge's wet dream. I think if they get the top pick they'll draft him.

Jackson has no range and they just drafted a small forward in the lottery. They're also a playoff team so there's not much incentive to play him more than 5 minutes a game if they're trying to win.

Giles imo is another Winslow type of development. They both have tools that allows them to play instantly but their offense is severely lacking. I'm not completely against picking him especially if its in the teens or 20s but there's alot of question marks around him. It'll really depend on who's still on the board at the time

If he passes 11th its a steal. I see him going in the top 10.

Depends on how you project him. I never considered Winslow a top 5 pick in his draft. I always had him in that 8-13 range. So in my eyes it not a steal but good value and i feel the same about Giles even if he didn't have the surgery I wouldn't advocate to take him top 8.

I had Winslow at 8, & Stanley J at 10, & i really liked Stan a lot at that time. But thats cause i didnt think we could get Winslow. Now that we got him i am content with him till he gets his out side shot going then i can see him blow up.

& the only thing holding Giles back was his injuries. Now its shaking off the rust. & by the tournament him, & Tatum will be at full speed.

My top 5 are .

Jackson

I think Winslow should try to become a shorter Draymond Green and the guy we draft needs to be an Alpha that can still defend. That's why at this point I have Fultz and Dennis Smith as my 1 and 2 but overall my top 5 is the same as yours.

I think its still too early to think that Winslow won't improve his shot. He still has time. Till then he can live off of his defense, ball handling, play making, & hitting the glass. He still has that going for him.

Denis JR didn't play that well in his lose to NC, with only 11 points, 5 ast, 5 reb, 6 to, 3 st, on 4-10 shooting. it was 56 - 107.

Winslow could easily become exactly what Green is, but better because he has more explosion. He just doesn't have that shot yet.

Listed height. Justise is a shade under 6'7 in shoes, Green is a shade under 6'8. I do agree he can become an even better version of Draymond Green is.

timing might seem reactionary to game against UNC but I don't really see DSJ as a top 5 as far as the Heat's preference/style of players. Jackson, Fultz, Ball, Tatum, even a few other guys seem way more versatile with the kinda length and athleticism that our scouting team loves. Sure DSJ is a stud in college, but how will his tiny arms and scorers mentality translate to the NBA? I think he's the furthest from sure product of the top picks. Could be totally wrong but I have Johnny Flynn comps lingering in my mind
