Chandler off the bench though :droop:

Faried could be a useful player too-- he rebounds. But there goes the cap space to sign a max free agent in July. If Ainge didn't care about cap space, he could go a log way towards solving the Celtics' rebounding problems by acquiring Tyson Chandler.

It looks to me as though Bogut is the most likely acquisition. There are too many suitors for Millsap, which will drive up the price.

Rozier is a big overpay for half a season of Bogut, who misses half his games to begin with.

Dude is also averaging 3ppg and 27% FTs.

He and Rondo are currently engaged in a furious battle for the worst offensive stat line of all time. Bogut is currently leading in the innovative "fewer FGs than TOs/game" metric.

Rondo is putting up a really tough fight but Bogut's combo of shockingly low volume and efficiency, combined with astronomical turnover rate, will be tough to beat.

Guess these guys missed the memo about offensive explosions league-wide.

Verdict: Zeller + clips and cavs seconds for Bogut = we'll think about it.

Bogut's rebounding % is right there with Whiteside and Tyson Chandler. Don't need much offense from the center position, if they add Butler. Also, moving Rozier, who has done very little so far, gives them some extra cap space this summer.

Surely if we had a Griffin or Hayward ready to sign on the dotted line unloading Faried or Chandler (or someone else) wouldn't be too hard in the offseason?

I'd take Nurkic with either if it was cheap

Friggin hate Bogut :(

I wouldn't take Nurkic anyways. Zizic is coming next season.

Bogut makes too much sense.
Good assessment:

Right now the teams shopping players are asking too much. Ainge is taking calls on the Brooklyn pick and he's probably asking too much as well. But that's the top pick in the draft of the decade. He ought to be asking too much.

If Zeller is sick---why is he on the bench with the team--?
shouldn't he be home resting.?...Looks like he's just waiting for Jan.14th.

$8Million Salary match.

I want to see what we have in Zizic too. A 2nd rounder and Zeller for Bogut. Never know when the next injury is for Bogut.

I'm super high on Zizic tbh, I think he's going to be a real impact player here

but is Nurk/Zizic at C next season really too much considering the main FA targets are a wing and a PF?

I just hate Bogut's attitude, coupled with his injury history and now non-existent offensive game, I'd really prefer someone else

I can see the positives, but would prefer to look elsewhere

Injury is a thing , you never know when will it happen for any other player also, not only Bogut.
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important then the name on the back.

Can I just give an 'amen' to that? I've been trying to make that point to no avail.

Did the Warriors have max room when they met with Durant? No.

Durant, LeBron, Aldridge, Carmelo, Wade -- they've all met (and several signed) with teams that didn't have space for the contracts that they gave them at the time of their meeting.

I don't know why so many get so hung up on this. You have to have a path to the max, sure, but you can trade a contract such as Tyson Chandler's -- easily. Even if in the worst case scenario we took on someone who put us over the max and they got injured or declined rapidly, we're loaded with a bunch of late firsts to pay a team to take a year of a guy if we had to dump someone.

Yeah lol, just like shooting 3s is a thing but for some players it's more of a sure thing that they go in. Just like Bogut, he's more likely to get injured than any other NBA player today.

No, you talking mess about a 14-23 team is what's funny.

And this is a Boston forum. I think you might be lost. The nuggets forum is elsewhere. I didn't say I expected the nuggets to accept the trade. If I said the nuggets would accept, or would be fair if, or won't get better than, I can see you fan boys coming over and stalking our trade thread. But I didn't. So back to your board or make some other fans trade thread unreadable. We don't need your opinions.

it's funny how you regularly rip Celtic fans on the nuggets board for the way they value their own players and yet you seem to spend a great deal of time trying to rile up celts fans on their own board. don't you have anything better to do?
