Yes man, a team projected as a 42 win 8 seed at best on pace for 58+ wins is significant. To not acknowledge that is just sad.

Maybe this just means that Harden's supporting cast was underrated? Because they play better without him than the Cavs do without LeBron.

Whatever the projection was, Houston's supporting cast has played better without Harden than people thought. Harden should get credit for this?

Lower TO% than Nash in 11 of his 18 seasons. It really isn't much of a problem. There are a few bone head ones but for the most part the TO totals for him, and Westbrook, are a product of usage, pace, and ball handling responsibilities.

Turnovers also context-less. I can think of 3 today just off the top of my head that weren't his fault

James Harden is basically Mike D'antoni's Steve Nash 2.0. Like Nash, he deservingly in the top 2-3 in the MVP race this year. But I have a feeling he's going to disappoint in the Playoff.

Player A (KD) is averaging less than 5 assists. If he had 8 as in the prediction posted above he would be in the running with Harden and Westbrook... But he isn't.
It's still an impressive season for him: a forward rebounding as a center and dishing assists almost like a PG with elite scoring efficiency. In a normal season he would be MVP, but this time something unbelievable is happening.

And if Westbrook is really having a historically great offensive season as some people suggest, why isn't he making his team much better than it is now? Don't tell me the supporting cast of Steven Adams, Oladipo, Roberson, and Enes Kanter, combined with historically-great-triple-double-averaging Westbrook is not good enough to get you at least 50 wins. That's nonsense.

Lebron in his early Cleveland days had much worse players around him and still won 60+ games. 14-15 Harden shared most of his playing time with the likes of Ariza, Motiejunas, Beverley, Terry, and Corey Brewer and still won 56 games.

If Westbrook is truly having one of the best offensive seasons that deserve MVP, his team should have much better record than 45-46 wins. Plain and simple.

Oladipo's missed 8 games, or 20 percent of the season. And without him OKC's offense is Sixers level bad. Houston's on the other hand still runs as middle of the pack when Harden sits out.

There are only two names we can really choose from this season, maybe three: Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Lebron James.

No one can the Warriors can win it. The last two MVPs are on the same team. How can somebody be the "most valuable player" when they're playing next to a "most valuable player". Makes no sense.

Stop mentioning KD or Curry. Both of them are DISQUALIFIED from winning MVP this year. That's just how it is, the voters won't vote for them.

Unless the media HATES Harden, there's no way he loses the MVP to Westbrook or LeBron. LeBron has a much better supporting cast than Harden and has worse stats. Plus people are tired of giving Bron the MVP.

If you put LeBron on the Rockets instead of Harden I actually doubt they'd be this good.

They'd be better. Much better.

With LeBron, they'd be title contenders. They would probably beat the Warriors.

Beverly/Ariza/LeBron....the defensive ability there....my God...
