Official Count Down to Inevitable trade thread

Post#1 » by Baka_La Flame » Mon Jan 9, 2017 9:29 am

It's going to happen any day now I can feel it. Thoughts on this trade proposal

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jjvq4gk

Orlando out

Green
Gordon
Hezonja
Zimmerman
ORL 2018 first round pick * Top 3 protected
ORL 2019 first round pick via LAL

Orlando in

Butler
Kuzminkas
Feliciano

Chicago out

Butler
Gibson
Feliciano

Chicago in

Anthony
Gordon
Zimmerman

New York out

Anthony
Kuzminskas

New York in

Green
Hezonja
Gibson

Love AG as much as anyone but Jimmy is a top 15 player in the league and I would consider this an even trade all the way around. We keep our pick this year which will eventually help replenish our farm. With AG and Mario moving on I would target a wing in the 10-15 range. A guy like OG Annoby or
Myles Bridges would fit the bill.

Payton/Augustine
Fournier/Meeks/Wilcox
Butler/OG
Ibaka/Feliciano
Vuc/Biyombo

We would fill out the roster with free agents and rookies but the front court is beastly. We would be on par with a team like Toronto. 50 wins wouldn't be out of the question. Anyway here's to Rob having at least one more trick yo his sleeve

Chicago possibly says yes, Orlando definitely says yes, New York laughs and hangs up.

Magic won't get a star. If some star is open for trade, Celtics will be first in line to take it.

I'm happy to give up anything on this roster not named Aaron Gordon (including our pick) for Zach Lavine.

I have supported Henny throughout the years for not making the big mistakes or selling the boat in the wrong deal. But it's time to move beyond "avoiding mistakes." We need to make a splash.

It's time to make a big play Henny. That can happen at the deadline. That can happen in the draft. Or it can happen in free agency. But if there isn't a big move to get excited about by opening night of next season, my patience in Henny will be up.

A Lavine + Gordon + whoever wasn't traded is a group to have some hope in.

This is one example. But time is up Henny. Make your move.

Was literally just going to make a thread like this, but with players we haven't totally been rumored to be interested in (as that's how Henny usually operates).

Oh and this package doesn't get you Butler lmao. In order to simply get on the phone to propose a a Butler trade with Chicago's GM Gordon/Unprotected '17 1st/'19 LA 1st will have to be immediately be on the table.

With that said, some players I think might be available around trade deadline that we may be interested in and not linked to already...

- Reggie Jackson
- Eric Bledsoe
- Trevor Ariza
- Troy Daniels
- Jusuf Nurkic
- Jrue Holiday

Surprise star that may get moved (not to us specifically)

- Damian Lillard

Yeah, your dreaming if you think Lillard will go on the market. They trade everyone else but him. CJ has good value and they would move him for star player/picks in return.

Out of those guys you mentioned, its no surprise Rob has a crush for Bledsoe. Been interested in him for years. PHX is struggling and will most likely land a top 3 pick that puts them in a position for Fultz or Ball. Our inconsistency at the PG is like Vogel said "the head of the snake." We need consistent effort both defensively and offensively....and DJ or EP are not providing that. I think patience is running thin and we might make a move for Bledsoe. He would be a great fit and is an established veteran PG having a great season. Problem is that he will cost us. Most likely our 17, EP and probably Mario too.

On another note, I would love Troy Daniels in this team. Dude is a flamethrower. However, he wont be that available. He is having his best season and Griz love him. He has become a solid rotation guy.

Return to Orlando Magic
