Hilltop Retires As A Moderator

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Sun Jan 8, 2017 9:03 pm

RealGM Orlando Magic Forum Posters and Readers,

Hilltop has decided to retire as a Moderator.

While Hilltop has only been a Moderator for a few years, he was actually supposed to become the first RealGM Orlando Magic User to ascend to become a Moderator on this Forum.

However, he was actually too young at the time and when he finally did get old enough, other obligations got in the way.

In the early days of this forum, Hilltop was everywhere and it was great to bring him on to The Moderator Team after so many years.

Hilltop's obligations elsewhere have led him to the decision to retire and while retirements are sometimes sad, I am really happy I was able to get Hilltop on The Moderator Team after all these years.

I thank him so much for his contributions as a Moderator and to many more years on The RealGM Orlando Magic Forum.

Please join me in thanking Hilltop for his service to this forum as a Moderator.
R.I.P. Dharam Raghubir (A.K.A. Magnumt)

Come on guys, where's the love? I mean look, just because the Magic suck (again), doesn't mean we have to take it out on Hilltop by not posting in his retirement thread. Sure, he could have done more. He could have reached out to Rob Hennigan, but he didn't. He could have applied for the head coaching vacancy the last couple times, but he didn't. He could have motivated us fans to get out to more games and cheer the guys on, but he didn't. He could have done all of those things, I grant you that, but the man is retiring now. Tomorrow we can fully consider all the ways he has failed us, but let's give him today.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

He was the hero we wanted, not the hero we deserved.

On a serious note, happy retirement Hilltop!

I guess that's why we haven't seen him posting much, he actually has a life, unlike the rest of us.

Wow that was fast. Is he even eligible for a pension? If he is he's the smartest guy in the world. :eyebrows:

Wait, so does this mean Board Awards won't be back this offseason? :dontknow: I believe Hilltop did it

It finally came back this past off season, after not having for three seasons. I hope it returns.
