Nobody would want Deng unless an unprotected 1st round pick is being attached with him. I can't imagine even Randle, Russel or Ingram have enough trade value to get rid of a contract like Deng so an unprotected 1st would likely have to be attached to him.

Lakers are better off just eating that contract for the next 4 years and hoping he's able to teach a thing or two to Ingram.

As for Millsap....he does have the ability to play SF as well.

OK get out here with this troll. Why would the lakers trade for Milsap for rental?

Oh I don't think Lakers should trade for Millsap. But I was just saying that he can play more positions than just PF.

The 'report' consisted of nothing more than we were 'interested'... Which is probably true on some level of every single team in the league...
So you have to ask yourself, why name the Lakers specifically? Is it really logical that a trade with us has any legs? I think no matter how you cut it, the answer is 'No.'

I almost wonder whether the Lakers had someone confirm they were "interested" in order to get their names out there to appease fans in what could very well be a slow trade deadline.

I think with the way the Millsap reporting is going the inside info to Woj is coming from Atlanta people.

ATL:"woj thanks for putting teams in notice for us that Paul is up for grabs. Now we need you to report he's off the block so we can start getting serious offers only"

Woj:"no prob but need something in it for me, gimme some teams that called about him"

....report: lakers interested in millsap

I'd like to say....HELL NO, Woj to me is starting to get "whorish" in his reporting now. To only mention the Lakers when we know damn well they had the least to trade according to the demands Atlanta wanted in return is asinine.

There were clearly other teams who could've made better deals than us...why not mention them ?

Like you said Kilroy, he wanted clicks....

Click bait..... or possibly a 3 team idea being floated. There is no way we are a Milsap away from the playoffs.

More likely it's click bait as we are not good, the owner made an ultimatum, its trade season and we're the Lakers.
