I'm not sure if I think he is overrated on this board, but if he is, I'm guessing this probably is the reason why.

Oh he's overrated because some people think he's more important to the team than Kemba. But that's not to say he's not good.

Take Kemba off this team I doubt we win over 30-35 games. Take Batum off this team I still believe we play over .500 basketball. But with Kemba and Batum combined I believe we can play .600+ basketball. This team is a sum of their parts but without a doubt Kemba is the MVP of the team regardless of what anyone thinks and the numbers prove it.

Fair take, but I think at the same time we still underestimate how impactful Batum is on Kemba's game. Kemba gets to do what he does best because we have Batum to help manage the offense and get the ball where it needs to go.

I think every PG need at least one above average (offensively) wing player that can at least put the ball on the floor and shoot 3s to help him not be the only playmaker depended on to make something happen every possession. That's not just a Kemba thing. But let's not act like Kemba didn't produce until Batum came along. Kemba just happened to become more efficient ever since Batum came along because he didn't have to do everything. It's exactly like all of the pro-Kemba people predicted when others were content with the mediocrity of Hendo.

I like Batum. He's the first above average scoring/playmaking wing we've had since Kemba been here. It took all but 5 years to get here.

You are selling Nic extremely short if your analysis of his game is just that he can "put the ball on the floor and shoot 3s." Kemba has never shown the sort of court vision that Nic has, and I think there's a reason why they are such a good fit together that is much more nuanced than just Nic being above average offensively.

I'm with MA, I don't like ranking players because it ignores fit and function. In the right scenario Nic could be much more valuable than Kemba, and obviously vice versa. In a void I think it's clear that Kemba is by far the most valuable piece on this team because he costs like half as much as Nic and is younger with a better injury history.

I'm not selling Batum short. In order to be above average you have to be good at certain aspects of playing the game of basketball. I never discredited Batum's passing ability for his size from the wing position although he can be a bit turnover prone. It seems like he's cut down on the turnovers a bit this season. Batum is good. I like him. I'm happy he's here. He's the second best player on the team. I wish he'd step up his scoring a bit more but he's definitely a important part of what we're doing so I appreciate him.

as much as I love Kemba, I think he is relatively easier to be replaced than Nic and MKG, that's why I don't rank him the No.1 ... overall, the PG position league wide is overrated, the ball is in their hands, everything is schemed to their advantages, they don't need to do a thing on defense... it is crazy that PG is leading FGA in the league...even a guy like Schroder leads FGA for the Hawks
Hi Clutchie, I love you... :kiss

Current consensus rankings:

1.25 Kemba

2.00 Batum

3.32 Zeller
3.94 MKG

5.13 Marvin
6.56 Lamb
6.69 Marco
7.38 Frank

9.88 Sessions
9.93 Hawes

10.75 Hibbert

12.19 Graham
12.69 Roberts
13.31 Wood

Lamb and Marco swapped places again and Sessions finally pulled ahead of Hawes, but really not much change since last time.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
