Wow. This Caris Levert without a doubt has the most upside among the Nets players today. He is young, tall, smart and has good skills. He is also good at defense.

As long as Lavert continues to develop I don't mind if we lose alot of games at this point.

I'm hard pressed to remember the last Nets wing guy that had a good mix of skills like this outside of Vince and Joe. That's high praise i know, but look at his all around ability.

I think he can easily become an all star talent. Just has to stay healthy.

He has all the tools to become a very solid 2 way player. Swiss army knife type player. Can do a bit of everything.

He has all-star talent but It will come down to how hard he's willing to work + luck with injuries.

Best prospect we've ever had during the Brooklyn era.

"LeVert is the more enticing prospect. He's bigger, with a smoother handle and jumper. Hollis-Jefferson's shot is still busted, and all indications are the Nets will listen when teams call about him, league sources say. But he's a tenacious defender who is better than you think at weirdo herky-jerky drives on offense."—Zach Lowe

Yes, they basically play the same position.
Can't help it but comparing them with each other.

I think 20 5 and 5. He's got the chops to score from either the outside or off of the dribble.

Considering that some thought Levert won't look pleasant this season because of long layoff and he is coming from an injury, what we are seeing is impressive.

I am so excited about this guy. So well-rounded and has the perfect skillset for modern systems. I haven't looked at any of the on-off, but we feel like a completely different team with LaVert on the court. Definitely our best passer with Lin out.

I am wondering if his limited minutes are due to considerations from the training staff or if Atkinson is just being cautious in integrating him. I really hope it's the former because he should be getting way more minutes. He's going to be one of the few, if not the only guy, I have to root for in the coming years (with Lopez likely gone).

It's the latter, but in last night's presser he admitted that he is being pressed by LeVert's play to give him more minutes.

He also admitted he wants to ease him into large minutes to "build his body up". Basically, the same approach Philly is taking with Embiid's minutes restriction.

Sports science.

Go to the :40 sec mark of this vid.

Watch.

Name the last Nets draft pick with that kind of ball handle and skill to get to the rim like that.

I'll wait.

Missed the game and the first thing I did when I got home was watch LeVert's highlights. I had a grin from ear to ear watching this. Kid is so smooth and really knows the game. Its been so long since I was this excited for someone the FO drafted. Really looking forward to his development.
