Some just preach this thing called "reality". You know, the reality where the Pistons are moving to a new arena next year and aren't going to tank. If anything we're going to trade young guys / picks for some kind of band-aid fix just to bring some kind of faux excitement, which would be a total Dumars-esque move.

If we have to be average (right now we are bad) at least let's try to be watchable like, for example, Charlotte is.

Stan Van Gundy has been terrible this year. Let's be honest.

He isn't being great or even very good, to be honest. Anyway he got what he got, and he got so much more than he was supposed to got because of him and Bower.

Damn, we had KYLE SINGLER as starter. He took a very tough challenge coming here. I still have confidence on him, he always gets 120% of his players. Maybe that's what happened last year, our players aren't as good as we thought, they just overachieved past season.

Anyway, and looking where we come from, I would give him one more season to see what he's trying to build and develop here. But remember we haven't ANY asset or valuable pieces when he took the head coach position, don't forget about that, if Morris or Harris are more or less valuable right now is because of him.

He also made Caron Butler look serviceable as well as Tolliver paid. SVG knows how to utilize certain talents correctly, it's just when he starts going way off tangent in trying to develop a stubborn RJ and mental funk Dre as the next duo it fell flat on its face so far.

So bloody tired of Stan harping on defense when to a friggin man every player he's brought in via trade or free agent has had known defensive deficiencies or in the very least not known for defensive acumen.

Problem is Stan thinks (or at least thought) that he can "fix" everyone. He turned teams with Jameer Nelson, Hedo, Rashard Lewis, Rafer Alston, and JJ Reddick into a decent defensive team at one point, so he was probably a little over confident.

The point is his teams always had a "motor" guy or some sort of vet that slaps the rookies when necessary. Detroit is a 15-men "boyz" team without any serious veteran influence now. Also as a Turkish fan I am still upset about the treatment Ersan received last year as he is now "the vet" of the Philly team and everybody on the team seems to have positive things about the selfless and hard nosed attitude he brought to the team. I know he had pump fakes and such but who actually has the old "bad boys" attitude of Detroit in the team now? Detroit may have youthenized itself with this new juvenile millenial team whose members care more about their tweets or next shoe deals more than their team.
