I'll be 100% honest. If we ever acquired Elfrid Payton and he still had that hairdo, I would stop watching Knicks games altogether, even if we were winning.

No, he can still be a very good player. But he'll have the same problem in ORL that he has here. He's not built to turn around a franchise anymore. Somewhat because his physical skills have declined, but mostly because he mentally isn't behind the idea.

Why are you even debating with him? Melo would never waive his NTC to play for the Magic. They might be worse than us. Even entertaining that deal proposed by a Magic fan on realgm

All I saw was the picks and Hezonja.

You guys wouldn't be top 3 bad with melo so we'd get another 1st this year and a future unprotected when he'll likely opt out.

That's a great deal.

I give Phil credit for using his writer friend Charlie Rosen in order to instigate Melo to be open to a trade. This is one of Phil's few skills.

More likely is that you would get that haircut if it guaranteed the Knicks winning :D

TBH, if Melo agrees to be traded and helped us get a halfway decent deal, he'd end up being very much appreciated by the fans. He helped Denver get a great haul, and they don't harbor any animosity towards him.

No one is gonna give up anything for an injured, washed up, ball stopping, egocentric non defender on a monster deal...

You could get other crap deals like deng or evan turner... but that makes nyk worse. He aint moving

It definitely is possible. Just not to a team that he's willing to go to. I hate that NTC so much.

That's actually a pretty good comparison. Joe Johnson from 2-3 years ago.

I would honestly see if he would accept a trade to Brooklyn. At least he can stay in NY, and maybe win some games to screw up Boston's pick.

Blake is basically a free agent next year, I don't see a good trade going down surrounding him

Yea. If Melo didnt have a NTC, I can see desperate teams like the Kings, Pelicans, Magic, and Washington to bid against eachother and give us a pretty good deal for Melo.
