Cousins with his latest incidents and likely new 207 million contract - I've completely lost interest in trying to acquire him.

Cousins is in the midst of another dominant season, as he will enter his next game Friday averaging a career-high 28.0 points to go along with 10.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
(snip to later in article)
That hasn't yet led to much team success, though the 16-22 Kings enter Wednesday's slate of games in a virtual tie with the Portland Trail Blazers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Sacramento would likely receive a huge haul if it were to trade Cousins, but finding another player of his caliber would be virtually impossible
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Derrick Rose is going down the path blazed by Iverson/Sprewell. He walks away from the team without permission and then it comes out that he will demand a max contract this summer.

He's got to feed his children, and in fairness to Rose - his gang-bang hobby can get expensive.

I remember when Scottie Pippen threw a towel in Arvydis Sabonis' face and he scowled at the coach.
Then, he was traded.
See trade thread. Rose makes sense for the Wizards as a backup this season only...

Ironic, sad sign of the times. Given the historically foul stench of our bench, I found myself jealous of the Hawks for signing Gary Neal.

Speaking of that trade, it looks like Hawks might have essentially acquired a pretty reasonable replacement in Mike Dunleavy. He was playing crunch time for them against the Celtics when the Hawks almost overcame a double digit deficit. After the last game against the Bucks, he has now made 6 of his past 7 3s.

Crazy story about Jimmy Butler. Apparently the Bulls FO was threatening to cut his minutes if he didn't sign a lowball extension. Thibs wouldn't go along with the FO:

Zero comments on the Hibba/Hawes trade to the Bucks? Is Monroe next?

Guessing it was just a cap move for Milwaukee? And Charlotte is hoping Plumlee takes off at sometime as a solid backup? I like the move for both teams.

Yes - a pure cap move by the Bucks erasing their mistake of signing Plumlee for far more than he's worth. Hibbs is expiring, and Hawes has a much smaller deal. Mil takes this as a win even if neither Hibbs nor Hawes play. Yes, I expect Mil is trying to trade Monroe. I think Plumlee is nothing more than an end of the bench player, but Charlotte and Michael Jordan obviously thinks differently.

It'd be kind of funny to see Sideshow Bob resign with the Cavs so that he could be on the losing end of the Finals three years in a row.
I recognize of course that this idea contradicts the basic fact that the Wiz are unstoppable and perhaps destined for a 'chip this year.

So you want the Wizards to sign Andy?

Andy is unflappable but oh so floppable. That's the one skill he's still got, and the officials finally caught on to his act in last year's playoffs - rendering him useless.
Btw, I do like GSW's acquisition of Briante Weber to replace Sideshow V. GS loves to get baskets off of to's, and Weber is as good as anyone in creating to's - and he can run the court and finish off of them.

Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 6
GSW makes this move even though they will probably cake-walk to another trophy, Ernie is probably content to kick-back and do nothing.
Thornton, Burke, & Nicholson are garbage. Briante, Keith Benson, Larry Sanders, maybe even Nate Robinson, should be given a look too.

Here's my new mancrush (pause)...a guy I would take over Cousins 10/10 times:
the Joker...he plays basketball the right way. Denver is fortunate...

His numbers are pretty scary right now, especially for a 21 yr old. He was taken in the 2nd round in 2014 draft. We traded away our picks for that year.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 6
Happy for Indiana University grad Yogi Ferrell shooting the lights out so far with Dallas and snagging a 2 year deal. I had thought he would be a good third PG for us. 4 year player, good leader, good shot. I know he doesn't finish well enough at the basket or defend enough (though he is better than some think), and I can't imagine him sustaining this level for long, but proving he is worth a roster spot.

The Cavs sign Derrick Williams to. 10-day, I totally would have done the same since Nicholson is in the dog house.
