I want to see Embiid making deep playoff runs sooner rather than later. He looks ready.

Embiid Simmons and Paul George looks pretty damn good. And they got cap space to sign some guards that'll complement them well.

The odds are pretty low but it's intriguing. Process+Simmons+Paul George (or Jimmy Butler) would be a top 4 team in the East.

I hope they don't do that sh.... Thats what the Pelicans did after Anthony Davis' rookie year and they still haven't recovered.

**And those two picks aren't going to be good enough to get Paul George.**

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I don't think they neccarily need an additional star, if Simmons is all that he was cracked up to be before the injury. If they can get veteran players who know their role, have come from winning situations and who can still produce, similar to players like Taj Gibson scattered around the roster that would be a better help short term and long term. Short term because in order to win in this league it's difficult to win with a core of your best players being too young. So with veteran help you're only going to speed up the winning process, and as such it speeds up Joel's process of understanding how to win in this league being around veterans who have been around the block.

I used Taj as an example because he is a veteran who can still contribute and command respect due to his play, and not a has-been star who is clearly over the hill and is just hanging on in the league due to reputation but can't consistently contribute so he is more of a bench player mentoring the players. Now whether those players are worth trading possibly a high pick is probably not something I'd do, but you could definitely get several players like that if the Sixers trade Okafor and some of the other young players on the roster right now.
Why so serious?

"bbq chicken" at a philly home game. means whiteside

"as$hole central" at philly. means drummond, had an altercation with him in preseason.

so on and so on. maybe its too subtle for some (it is not really xD)

I follow 76ers games? No. I follow Joel Embiid on instagram? No. So I didn't know that he do this all the time, but still Joel will have to change his attitude if he wants to be a face of the NBA in few years, can you imagine Lebron, Curry or Durant calling Philly a shi**** on Instagram or Twitter in location spot? I can't, he needs to grow up. :noway:

We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

you only would recognize that if you follow him on ig!? if you just believe anything what somebody tells you (like some mediaguy writes an article about how embiid calls milwaukee a $hithole), then you are really easy to manipulate in general. i know many people are, but please do research on your own first if its true or whats the background story... if you aint doin that, you or anybody else dont have the right to condemn somebody..

Valid point, Giannis being in foul trouble changed things.

Stop it man, I see this stuff with my own eyes on HIS OWN Instagram account, not on some random articles first of all, second he is an professional athlete, role model for kids from Africa and across the world, he should be thankful for this opportunity his fellow countrymen Mbah A Moute found him in Cameroon and with his help he is now living the American dream.
He does not need talk smack about other peoples or other cities on his own instagram account, where kids around all ages are looking at those pictures from his favourite basketball player and saying to themselves- ''Yeah if Joel do this, I will follow him too''!!!°
As I said before if he wants to be the face of the NBA, he will need to change his childish attitude.
I know what it's like to be a professional athlete from my own pro years, it's tough, but it was my day job for years, just like Joel and other professional athletes, if you want to maintain in top level or grow as a player, you have to be a hard worker (Joel has is), you have to have a right mindset every single day(Joel has it). But still that childish attitude a lot of people will say the same thing, like it or not, but it's unfortunately true.

Good for him if he removed. He has to realise this is not college anymore, the words he is saying or he is writing on social media, can have serious consequences, from the league, other team fans and even players.

Embiid grew up in an upper middle class family in a city of 2.5 million people. Parents owned mercedes etc. Luc didn't exactly find him in the middle of a random village without shoes on or something lol.

Joel embiid could literallly be in the nba finals next yr if bryan colangelo makes the right moves. dude had HOF top 15 of all time potential before he was drafted and was passed on twice. First ever pick in the hinkie tanking process and the sixers dont even need to land a single other gem, this guy is legit. kyle lowry will be a free agent and signing with the sixers, his hometown of philly, would be a great move for his career if he wants to win a ship. Obviously as a raptor fan, id love to keep kyle but kyle can play another 6 yrs and win championships playing with joel embiid.

Having Colangelo at the helm with so much at stake really makes me nervous and uneasy.

Colangelo is a great gm. His biggest issue was he held onto bargnani for too long and felt like no free agents would come to toronto so he always overpaid. he definitely did not surround bosh with enough talent and the first domino out should have been bargnani. Colangelo is an elite drafter and risk taker.
