This team is so weird. We are lacking in the talent department in some sense, but it also feels like we are really close to a tipping point where if we just had a couple more solid guys off the bench, with one of them ideally being a someone who could take scoring pressure off Kemba for stretches, we would be a 50 win team.

Part of me also still feels like a lot of our problems could be solved by simply going small more with our second unit, but it doesn't seem like the rainman is ever going to do that.

Fatlever was the kemba of this game thread. He did great work all thread long voicing our collective frustration but he needs more support from the rest of you guys.

well I hate to say it but that is some incisive writing from Bonnell. he seems to be at his best when the team is at its worst

I got IT in my top 3 PGS. #2 actually, I wouldn't put any other PG other than Westbrook above him right now

You're getting carried away. Westbrook, CP3, Curry, in some order, still top 3.

I'm a Celtics fan and love IT so I have a bias ofcourse. I also recognize that defense is half the game and that's not a side of the ball IT is good at.
Offensively and I guess.. value to his team, for the year I may put him right behind Westbrook and harden.
But unfortunately the playoffs are s different story. He's a tier down just because with his size teams are all over him and intent on getting back on every possession.
The hawks locked him up pretty good last year. I fear that happening again. IT doesn't quite have the other reliable teammates that others have to bail him out once they start doubling him and it's more difficult for him to deliver passes where he wants it , off a double, due to his height.
But regular season? Dude is incredible.
