i can't take credit for it, but another poster mentioned that he really doesn't play all that much like Olajuwon
he's more of a Ewing / DRob type, which no one ever would've guessed

He just shows glimpses of Hakeem in his movements.

Who were the other Embiid doubters aside from Deadspin's writers like Kevin Draper and Brian Geltzeiler?
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Re: Joel Embiid -- The Process is now Live
Embiid is unique. His combination of size, strength, athleticism, and shooting ability is rare.
He has Hakeem's strength and Dream Shake move, but Embiid is two inches taller. He has Shaq's strength in the paint and playful personality. He is a little like Ewing, but Embiid is taller, bigger, and stronger.
To whom can Embiid be accurately compared? Wilt? Sounds crazy, but perhaps. They are both over 7'0'' (Embiid 7'2'', Wilt 7'1''). Wilt played in a very different era, but he could do anything on the court. He dominated both offensively and defensively. Wilt was also a unique combination of size, length, strength, and athleticism.
Wilt may represent Jo-Jo's true ceiling. And the craziest thing is, it may be reachable.
We are watching a unique generational talent. The 76ers got lucky (for once).

biid moves like a guard or a big wing, he's more Hakeem to me.

Those guys don't actually have opinions they just say whatever they think can drive clicks. Getting Sixers internet heated every once in a while is a relatively reliable way of driving clicks.

Supposedly the AS starters have already been determined and Charles accidentally revealed Embiid would be on his reserves list, so he's not starting which means he's probably not making the team this season. Coaches will reward veteran stars as reserves.

Where? Not that I don't believe you but I have to see this travesty for myself.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Saw it on reddit, I'm just going to quote their post.
He's on with gargano, says he has the starters list and can't announce till tmrrw, but says embiid will be on his reserves list.

i dont really care if he makes the ASG or not. if hes not voted in, it just makes everybody look stupid who hasnt voted him in. he will be the best player in the whole league soon..thats all i care about, not the image he has now

its still two different shoes. mvp isnt automatically the best player. you can be the best player in the league, but if your team is not winning, you wont get the mvp-award.

I think that he is clearly deserving of being in the allstar game on merit, but the chances of him getting onto the roster is probably less than 50%.
Doesn't matter. Next year starts a long run of All star games for him if he stays healthy.

HartfordWhalers said if Embiid starts all star game this year and next he could get 33M super max instead of 27 max. I guess we should all rejoice he's not starting this year right? Smh. Anyway as much as I love Porzingis he better not make the reserves over Embiid or I'm raising hell. New York bias better not allow porzingis to make it over Embiid. And if they both make it as reserves Embiid better enter the game before him.

Barkley doesn't come off as one of the guys to do this, but maybe he's bluffing for a shock factor tomorrow night

I thought it was a long shot for him to be an all-star starter anyway, hopefully he can get in as a reserve.

Yeah, was obvious media wasn't going to vote for him and players are supposedly just voting for their friends which rookies wouldn't have much of, at least throughout the league.

Just saw that Embiid is questionable tonight due to an illness. That kinda sucks, was looking forward to the game.

Re: Joel Embiid -- The Process is now Live
So apparently Embiid is questionable for tonights game. Did anyone see his live instagram feed last night... He was just chilling, and looking at user's comments... Definitely seemed drunk though...
Wonder if his illness is having a hangover lol!!!!!!!!! If that's the case, he needs to get that ship right... As much as I love this guy, the kid is still a little immature. He's going to get in trouble one of these days with his social media antics.
