If this season has taught us anything it's that SVG is confident that over time this team can figure it out.

The constant roster turnover while preaching continuity suggests that is gonna stop at some point. I believe we reached that point after signing Ish, Jon & Bobo

So now - for better or worse - we wait and see.

We really tore through those lottery teams last time the schedule was as light as possible.

Yeah it's good that the schedule gets easier, but from what I've seen thus far, there's no spirit willing to fight with this team on a ton of nights that should raise alarms. It's past the point of "young team" excuse at this, they're either straight up badly coached and tuning out SVG or they just don't have the motivation at all this season. It's compounded with the fact that we have RJ pounding the air out of the ball with a bum knee with who knows how many years he has left in this league and with Dre taking up huge cap space but only rebounding has been his consistent thing this year with every other skill being subpar as usual.

If they were fighting like hell every night, I wouldn't even really be bothered by the losses. It's when they come out so flat defensively and offensively that makes this team extremely hard to watch.

^^^Exactly. It's the lack of consistent effort that leads me to believe that regardless of the schedule, we may see a second half that's no different than the first.

I have always stuck by my theory that Reggie was going to be a bottleneck, I just didn't anticipate it being due to his motivation. And I think he's been a terrible influence on Dre. Dre is still very obviously a young dude who's motivation changes with the wind. When the team is playing well, he's locked in, but the moment things turn, he's off his game. Without any solid on court leadership, that's not going to change.

RJ needs to go. They need to bring in some veteran presence. Even if it's a downgrade in talent, I think a more stable situation at PG would do wonders for this team.

Until something changes, it doesn't matter what the schedule is. This team lacks discipline and their two most important players feed off each other's immaturity and motivation or lack thereof.

I am 100% down with this. Not so much in the sense that things can't change, but certainly with the causation theory.

You know what I'm most looking forward to about our upcoming schedule? After this 3 home game stretch, the Pistons get 4 whole days off between games (vs Sac on the 23rd - @ Mia the 28th)! Four days is huge. We haven't had a fully healthy squad all season. Four days to get healthy and actually practice together (how many different starting lineups have we had??), could make a huge difference.
