Really hope Roy just needed to heal up and his best game is ahead, I can't tell if tonight was just a fluke (the scoring clearly was) but he did look more mobile. I actually expected him to struggle when I saw he was starting because I figured Dame and CJ would kill him in PNR sets, but he did a surprisingly decent job closing out and that wasn't a problem at all.

Seriously what is wrong with POR? Did they lose anyone after last season? Doesn't make sense that they are free falling like this.

Lets play a game of who would you rather have - Portland vs Charlotte edition.

Kemba or Lillard?
Batum or McCollum?
MKG or Harkless?
Marvin or Aminu?
Zeller or Plumlee?

Marco or Crabbe?
Lamb or Turner?
Frank or Leonard
Hawes or Davis?
Hibbert or Ezeli?
Sessions or Napier?
Wood or Vonleh?

These teams are very similar in talent level and make-up.

Was it just me or did Frank see more time with the starters than normal tonight?

Lets play a game of who would you rather have - Portland vs Charlotte edition.

Kemba or Lillard? Kemba but close
Batum or McCollum? Batum due to fit
MKG or Harkless? MKG
Marvin or Aminu? close but Aminu due to contract and age
Zeller or Plumlee? Zeller

Marco or Crabbe? Marco due to Crabbe's contract
Lamb or Turner? Lamb due to Turner's contract
Frank or Leonard? Frank due to Leonard's contract
Hawes or Davis? Davis
Hibbert or Ezeli? healthy Ezeli otherwise hibbert
Sessions or Napier? Napier
Wood or Vonleh? doesn't matter Clifford won't play either

Fairly similar but I definitely think we have the edge, and of course it's a no-contest once you factor in the fact that Portland has firmly cemented themselves in mediocrity by committing an unreal $90M per year for the next 3-4 seasons between Lillard, McCollum, Crabbe, and Turner. Plus Meyers Leonard and Mo Harkless's extensions, looking at about $110M/year until 2020.

That's before paying Plumlee. They are 100% stuck with their core. We could theoretically slash our bench and sign a max contract to someone this summer without even touching our already superior starting five.

2nd game in a row Cliff has altered Frank's rotation. Instead of one long extended run per half, he's now coming out early in 2nd, then coming back in late in the 2nd, two shorter runs, per half.

I was thinking more pure player A or B, contracts not part of equation. How would that change your answers?

Don't hate me :-?

Lillard
McCollum
MKG
Marvin
Cody

Crabbe
Turner
Frank
Davis
Ezeli
Sessions
Vonleh

And then I'd trade McCollum and MKG to Chicago for Jimmy Butler (or something like that). Followed by a trade of one of those bigs for a better backup PG. Ezeli's expiring + 2nd for best backup PG I can find at trade deadline.

Lillard/trade/Sessions
Crabbe
Butler/Turner
Marvin/Frank
Zeller/Davis/Vonleh
