I think he plays between 65-70 games and 30-32 mpg. That's why you keep one of Noel or jah or sign a legit vet

I don't even hate the idea of trading Noel and jah for good perimeter pieces and signing ibaka. Embiid clearly loves to play with stretch 4's and he would just slide to center when jojo sits.

Draft/bayless/tj
Cov/draft/nik
Simmons/tlc
Ibaka/saric
Biid/Holmes

Fill it out with some vets. And whatever we get from Nerlens and jah.

After a year of playing 28 mpg, and no back to backs, he should be able to take on the load...

I think they'll be judicious with him. I doubt we'll ever see him play many 38-40 min games during the regular season.

I suspect he'll play in some key back-to-backs but probably won't play in all of them.

I've heard there is a move going on in the league to try and decrease the amount of back-to-backs. Part of that may be decreasing pre-season games so there'll be more time to space out the regular season.

Thankfully no back-to-back in the playoffs.

I was hoping that we would get to 32 before the end of the season, but even if they stay with 28 I'm fine.

As long as he gets through the season healthy I'm fine with it.

I think next year they will probably open him up with the minutes, but still aim to limit him generally.

Like there wouldn't be a specific number that he couldn't go over, but maybe they still shoot for 32 a night as a loose goal.

Back to backs will probably happen as well, but maybe they limit the minutes to 20 or so on the second end?

I trust them to use their judgement.

Guys, flood the General Board with these metrics on Embiid's impact. There are over 100 users that somehow think the Bucks have a brighter future than us.

Who cares? Its not like that's some outrageous thing to think. Giannis is a star, Jabari is coming around, Middleton is very good. Not like they are some bum team with no future.

Yeah.

It is fine to show stats and add something to a discussion, but I would just caution against simply trying to flood a debate and any behavior that might not let others reasonably disagree, or in any way acting in a manner that isn't good for the board you are going to. Thanks.

On top of that, with threads like "have the hinkie doubters been proven wrong", the embiid thread, and arguments in a ton of other threads about Embiid being better than such and such, or the Sixers future being brighter than fill in the blank... I don't imagine we are a very well liked group as it is on the General board. The T&T board either for that matter with the constant "what is jah/nerlens" worth threads.

I think that things will take care of themselves over the next few seasons. People will learn what we have in Embiid and Simmons, and puffing out our chests now isn't productive because it hasn't led to a contending team yet.

It is one of the things that I have been enjoying though about our recent winning ways. People will be forced to take notice soon.

The ONLY reason that people would choose the TWolves or Bucks future over ours is because they are convinced that their young star players are for real. Well Embiid is making his case now. If he finishes the year the way that he has been going so far we will get the benefit of the doubt with the casual fans next year.

I think it's pretty clear our future is brighter than the Wolves at this point. A legitimate argument can be made for the Bucks though. I think us and the Bucks will own the East once LeBron declines.

Embiid is a true difference maker already and its a beautiful thing to have.

But as someone said earlier, Giannis is going to be an all star and will be in the MVP race, yet Embiid was the best player on the floor in the Milwaukee game. Same can be said of last night. With two all stars, Lowry and DeRozan, it was all about Embiid.

Anyone watching the recent games can see the impact Embiid makes on the floor. He's playing toe to toe with some of the NBA's finest and coming out ahead.

Jimmy Butler is an all-star starters, so Embiid likely needs to be a reserve to get in.

I feel bad for LeBron, Giannis and Butler because god wants to see JoJo start in the all star game so one of them is getting hurt.
