RE: Yabusele
I haven't had a chance to watch full game videos of him the last couple of weeks. Would like to do so for the last 2 games. Curious to see how long he sustains his high energy play rather than sporadically via highlights. I do love his quick decisions and willingness to move the ball. Also his boxing background, assuming he took it seriously, can help one appreciate his quick footwork and balance. He sets his feet quickly to take his perimeter shots.

RE: Nader
Noticed more clips of him handling the ball and setting the offense in recent highlight videos posted here (as well as increased assist numbers). Encouraging to see and he does have some creativity with the ball. Still, much comes down to how well he does defensively and shooting. The big club obviously could use more guys who can drive and dish (and draw fouls), but, IT is the only featured ball-handler and others will need to be able to work that element quickly when opportune to do so, but more importantly be able to knock down shots themselves.

When Keith Smith did his piece last week on Zizic, Yabs and Nader, a lot of us were surprised with the comparison of Nader to Turner. But with the way Nader has become a point forward as well as a rebounder the comparison is not as crazy as it first seemed. And let's be clear, by saying there is a similarity in playing styles does not mean I am saying Nader will have a career like Evan Turner, or much of an NBA career at all. All of that remains to be seen. But we can say that, like Zizic and Yabs, Nader has exceeded expectations this year, by a wide margin. If he keeps doing that, he will have an NBA career, possibly a good one.

Next year please hire Kevin McHale to work with Žižić and Olynyk

Hell, bring in Pierce to work with Brown. I think that kid can learn a thing or two from the Truth.

Nader is definitely gettin teammates involved more of late.

First 12 games had 1 with 5+ assists
Last 6 games had 5 with 5+ assists"

Nader looks like he could be one of those "jack of all trades" type off the bench. Watching the highlights, I wish Smart would watch video of this kid shooting. His form, his release, they're so quiet. Very little wasted motion at all. He keeps the ball chest high before letting it go. Pretty quick release actually. Almost Klay-like.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Ante Zizic expects to join NBA next season
By Jay King | mjking@masslive.com | January 18, 2017

You talked about going to NBA next season. It's your definite decision?
Yes, of course. I was selected in the first round but I wanted to stay one more year overseas in order to prepare for the NBA. Now I'm playing in EuroLeague and the next step is NBA. I'm 99% sure that I'm going to be there on summer. I feel comfortable now and I think I'm ready for this step.

Splitting time with two teams overseas this season, Zizic has only built on his reputation. He bashed the competition in the Adriatic League for KK Cibona and has generally continued to impress, albeit in a smaller role, since a midseason move to Darussafaka. In addition to the Turkish Basketball Super League, Zizic's new team competes in the Euroleague -- one of the very top leagues outside of the NBA. Considering the big man's age, 20, his recent production has been promising.

It's no surprise Zizic intends to join the Celtics next season. He sounded antsy for the NBA after the draft in June, and has done nothing to harm his chances since. Last month, Celtics director of player personnel Austin Ainge told CSNNE it is "everybody's plan right now" for Zizic and fellow draft-and-stash first-round pick Guerschon Yabusele to play in Boston next season.

Zizic with Chandler/Gobert level true shooting percentage, great free throw shooting, and most importantly, decent rebounder.

Send Zizic right over.

I remain underwhelmed by Danny AInge's drafting.

Sully, KO, Smart, Hunter, Young, Mickey. Those were Danny's most recent picks prior to last summer. So I'm with you.

Brown, Zizic, Yabs, Nader need to be much better than the the guys mentioned above.

I watched the 2nd half and Nader was impressive. He is a very good passer with above-average court vision, handles the ball well enough to play the 2, superb 3 point shooter, drives well to the hoop, and also made some tough turn-around post-up 12 footers with a defender's hand in his face. He is not just a guy who makes wide-open jumpshots.

The guy has game, and was the best player on the floor. How well that translates to the NBA in 2017-18 remains to be seen, but he came, he saw, and he has conquered the D-League. Far more so than Demetrius Jackson, who was decidedly pedestrian in tonight's game by comparison. Nor even remotely close to Nader as a playmaker.

They're terrible Starting, in the D-League.

Really hoped that they got that $50-75K/player for the whole D-League.

Jackson looks super quick in those highlights. It's debatable at this point whether Rozier is even better than him.

I don't think he is. Think Jackson has actual PG skills for one and Rozier doesn't. Jackson probably walked onto the Celtics as the best facilitator of the pick and roll the instant he got drafted. Like Terry though, I'm glad he's taking this year to get acclimated to the speed of the game. His body is already NBA-ready. If Terry gets moved at some point, this kid could easily slide into his spot next year.
