Half Way Through the Season

Post#1 » by NuggetsWY » Fri Jan 20, 2017 2:18 pm

Many of us thought Denver had a shot at the playoffs this year; but most of us thought that would require a .500 season. :nod:
After 41 games, we are in 8th place with Portland 1/2 game back and New Orleans & Sacramento a game back. Holding 8th place probably won't be easy.

Next time games will be an important stretch. 9 out of the 10 are against western conference teams with 7 of those 10 games at home.

Clippers
@Twolves
Jazz
Suns
@Suns
Lakers
Twolves
Bucks
@Spurs
Mavericks

Clippers, Jazz, Bucks, and Spurs will be difficult to beat.
Twolves (2), Suns (2), Lakers, Mavericks should be beatable.

Do you believe we can win 6 of 10?

The Clippers should be without Paul and perhaps Blake so it seems more winnable. If we play at the intensity level we've been playing, 6 out of 10 is reasonable if we beat who we should be able to beat. Maybe even 7 wins, but that would only be for Powder Blue's benefit !!

We need to start winning at home to be a serious contender for the 8th seed. I'd like to see 5-2 at home. If we can't beat the bottom-feeders of the West at home, the playoffs are a pipe-dream.
