If Boston got involved in a 3 way deal, Vucevic would solve Boston's rebounding problem, but not sure what else he'd help with.
People emphasize his defense as an issue and it is to some degree, but what I find annoying about his games is he shies away from contact, both when it comes to setting proper screens and getting to the rim as opposed to settling for long distance shots. Not sure if that type of player would help IT.
One thing I love about Chandler is he's top 3 in the art of setting screens. But he'd also likely clog the paint for IT because he can't explode to the rim anymore.
I think Olynyk has cornered the market on feeble 7ft jump shooters
Look, again, I know we're worried about the cap - but getting Vucevic at a discount... He's 26 years old, if you accomodate your offensive system to him even a little bit, he can give you 18 points - maybe more - on +.500 shooting, and double-digit rebounds. Not a three-point shooter, doesn't draw fouls, and he's been considered weak defensively, but has improved this year under Vogel. He is, and has been, their best player for years.
Something like Bradley, Crowder, LAC 1st for Hezonja, Vucevic, ORL 17 unprotected? Hezonja's going to be a star, and they don't have patience to play him, he's finally getting minutes now because of injuries and making some big plays.
