This year is a major disappointment for Dre. Its not uncommon the year after signing a large contract. The second half of this year and early next year will tell us a lot. Either he'll take stock of himself and get back to work or he'll be the same average to slightly above average NBA player he's been this year.
Pray its the former is all I can say.

2. Did you even read what I wrote about them? Obviously not, buddy.
Yeah you wrote about some nonexistent guy talking about trade Dre for second rounds, making a big big straw man argument

Yes our team has been a disappointment but the advanced numbers show Dre doesn't have the impact his numbers would make you think and he's awful on D.
Joel Embiid shows up in the league and everyone goes "now there's a center".
I found it surprising that Chuck and Kenny on TNT just put Andre in their top 15 players in the league, and everyone there seemed totally fine with it. Unlike many on here, I don't think he's a useless scrub that we should trade for a couple 2nd rounders, but top 15 in the league did seem pretty damn high to me.
The fact that San Antonio is WAY better defensively with Kawhi on the bench according to advanced metrics makes it almost impossible to take them too seriously. Especially when some advanced numbers (like defensive rating) put Andre up at the top of the league defensively (which is obviously BS). People just need articles to write.
I didn't see TNT did that. Dre's a good player, it's aggravating when you know he could be great but the drive simply isn't there. Play ball, make money and friends. Repeat. Nothing wrong with that, just disappointing.

I hope one of these days after Drummond reads one of these articles or looks at his advanced stats he will start to take things seriously and show some pride in his profession. Dude just does not seem to give a crap though.

The funny thing about it is that if he was always engaged and took things more seriously he would be top 15, because his physical gifts are that special.

I agree with everything other than this. He is very much a similar player to the guy on the court last year. He has been prone to lapses and iffy shot selection every year he has been in the league.
It's very disappointing that he hasn't improved his defense and still sulks when he misses a shot or whatever. We'd definitely be a better team if he fixed these issues, but these aren't new revelations. These also aren't even remotely our most glaring issues as a team. In our worst stretch of games we've gotten DESTROYED by the 3-ball and seem allergic to ball movement. These aren't really things that you'd say are the fault of your center.
It would be fantastic if he suddenly had the energy and drive of a Ben Wallace, Kobe, etc. Unfortunately that's super rare and not something people tend to discover at this point in their life.
