Bye bye Obamacare. Wow that was quick.

Indu, I refuse to believe you're naive enough to believe that Obamacare is gone that easily. Most Americans like the essential elements of the law...and many of us will still be covered by it when we go to the doctor or hospital next week. The law is too deeply embedded in our healthcare system to just simply go away.

The Repubs will try to tweak/change Obamacare (we all want to see the law improved) and they will try to call it something else. But the core principles of Obamacre are here to stay. Thanks #44.

I think that the Rs will lose their majority if the repeal the ACA without a replacement. It is political suicide. They could just leave the current entitlement policies in place (letting the Ds in the senate block them) and continue putting the blame on the Ds.

That of course would be politically expedient but bad for the country. Entitlements are a third-rail issue - and both parties are willing to kick it down the road so as not having to deal with the issue (we can't afford them as they are currently constituted.

I currently don't see either party having the backbone to actually do what is right.

On the one hand the Ds put in to motion covering more folks with healthcare insurance. On the other hand, they made it so complex and onerous for the federal purses as to accelerate the time when entitlements would outstrip revenues. And they paint anyone who wants fiscal sanity as a baby or old person killer.

The Rs have routinely buried their heads on some of the most important issues that the ACA covered. They have routinely been willing to lower taxes to the point where deficits soar. When they do lower taxes they don't do it the right way - removing some of the deductions that are both unfair and bad for the deficit (and yes, Ds have their own sacred deductions).

So, to your answer - will things change? Objects at rest tend to stay at rest.

Fwiw, I'm at the Women's March in D.C. and we're having a ball. :)

I just drove my wife and her friends almost all the way to 3rd and Constitution. (One of them is a little infirm, can't believe I got that close!) Based on a comparison to yesterday, looks like more people parking and walking too. From what I've heard, also based on bus parking permits. But remember, it's not about the numbers; if the majority were right, we wouldn't need an electoral college.

When a company's employees use twitter to tweet bad things about the company's boss, you can expect ramifications. This isn't complicated.

Regarding the crowd disparities between Obama and Trump, let's not forget that DC is an extremely Democrat town. I would expect every Democrat inauguration to draw a bigger crowd than every Republican inauguration. I'm sure if the inauguration was held every 4 years in Salt Lake City, the opposite would apply.

Trump brought comparisons upon himself with boasts of huge crowds.

Would have been more helpful if they showed up to Clinton's speeches during the election.

That being said, I didn't think the testosterone level in DC could possibly drop any further. These ladies and their male entourage have proved me wrong, by an exponential factor!

I'm out here (as is JWizmentality apparently) and I think our "testosterone levels" are just fine.

Ashley Judd made a speech declaring Trump has "wet dreams" about his daughter, and he is "Hitler personified."

That's certainly enough information for impeachment! Keep marching ladies. Get Lady Gaga up on the podium next and possibly draw some comparisons to Ceaucescu and his lurid opinions of Tiffani.

Well, I drove the ladies down, saw a bunch of girly men, took my huge membership card back home to watch porn and gorno in sensurround until the game, when my team will break a piston wand off in some poor snack's muffler. Time to take the Sawzall to some ceiling beams, if you catch my rip.

Not to mention his own claim that his inauguration would have an "unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout," although, in fairness, he didn't claim there that he would draw a large crowd.

Trump's turnout maybe indeed be record-setting. It may set the record of having the lowest inauguration turnout in the modern era.

What's even more amazing, while we had nice temps in DC today, the true Obama "record-setting" turnout took place on a day with temps well below freezing.

The ex-president can take those memories with him into retirement. I'm looking forward to the massive shakeup which started today.

No more PC, no more ladies bathroom talk, discussions about actual problems which impact my bottom line.

It's our deplorable nature. In all honesty I'm just happy the tension has died down considerably and we're back to semi-normal partisan disagreements.

I honestly am just excited about *hopefully* positive financial change.
