As the poster who coined the phrase "Linuep of Mild Discomfort" (I think), I've been using it to refer to our version of the Dubs' Death Lineup -- no true center; Morris in the Draymond role.

I coulda swore LoMD was with Gortat, but maybe I'm wrong. The Kieff lineup is the one that totally blew that OKC game when we had that ISO meltdown.

You could be right -- I may have mixed it up myself.

I wasn't paying super close attention, but didn't Oubre drill a cluch 3 to cut it to 3? I thought he was fantastic tonight.

Either way we came all the way back and probably should've won at the end.

Oubre definitely had a great game. I'm still not 100% prepared to trust him to make good decisions in the clutch. If he's not catching and shooting, I get nervous.

We played like warm ass for 90% of the game, and managed to lose only by one, playing away.

Loss is a loss but if Beal or Porter are shooting like their normal selves, we win that game. No one could buy a bucket except Keef, Oubre and Smith.

It literally looked like Brad broke his leg on that one play and he comes back and drills both free throws and runs like hell to block the potential game winner. That's awesome

Come on. He takes a hard spill every other game and looks like he's dead. But wait, is that another jab at Wall? Geez, if we only had your boy Sato in late, we would have won.

Lol, but those were legit brutal falls by Beal. I hated the way he kept missing shots all game long, but getting up after that last fall and hitting the foul shots impressed me. Still, he's got to learn to fall better - like Wall does.

I know the Wiz got on top by using the small lineup, but Morris playing center... that lineup was begging to get beat on the boards, and they did... get beat by getting beat on the boards. Reminded me of how we got beat by Atlanta in the playoffs. You can't be giving up offensive boards at the end of close games. We did erego we lost.

The Pistons had a beefy lineup in. Their front court: Harris/Morris/Drummond. Our lineup: Oubre/Porter/Morris. We almost had a shot at a board there (Porter and Oubre both got a hand on it), but it's not surprising that the Pistons were able to get boards.

I agree...but history will remember that we lost on a tip in. It was like the Mario Bros were playing in the driveway considering how the last couple minutes played out with them having such an impact. I wonder if it would make sense, if we keep Keif, to go get Marcus in the offseason... they both may be happier and Morris would be our best big off the bench and def an upgrade of a PF player that we picked up that hasn't had 1 minute this year.

The Pistons had a beefy lineup in. Their front court: Harris/Morris/Drummond. Our lineup: Oubre/Porter/Morris. We almost had a shot at a board there (Porter and Oubre both got a hand on it), but it's not surprising that the Pistons were able to get boards.

I agree...but history will remember that we lost on a tip in. They're both bad. Marcus is a better shooter than Markieff, but not by much. His rebounding is worse, they're both plagued with the same temptation of taking inefficient contested jumpers. His RPM is 25th among power forwards. The Mario Bros impact would elevate them to average starters I suppose.

His friend on the other hand, Jon Leur, would be a nice player to get.

Acquiring Markieff was a mistake -- esp. at the cost of a R1 pick, but it wouldn't have been a good choice even for a lot less. Doubling down & getting his brother, who is certainly no better (they are about the same on their careers, and this year Markieff is more effective overall, though not by much) -- what an idea!

Jon Leuer would be terrific to have, of course -- he's a good player. But, he's signed through June 2020, so what would make anyone think he'd be coming here? What would we have to trade for him? Nothing.

The way you get guys like Jon Leuer is you draft them. He went #40 in 2011; we took Shelvin Mack. Not a bad pick, except that we completely wasted it by waiving him (grrr... idiot... grumble... Ernie... brain dead...!!).

Detroit's the team that had 2020 vision with him, so to speak. He's been traded and waived several times. He came out of school very thin, but he's gradually built up his body, and the modern stretch 4 position fits him really well. He's a keeper for them, and I expect he'll keep getting better. But you can keep Tobias Harris.
