Time to start SJ

I think our pf has yet to play a game for us. We need to trade for an awesome defender there. With Stanley and KCP the 3 of them will more than make up for reggie drummond

It's really hard to make up for bad defense at point guard (unless Caldwell-Pope has slid over and the other team didn't get him to switch back with Jackson) and bad defense at center though. I don't care who the other three guys are, having sieves in trying to stop someone from getting to the rim and then actually at the rim is going to tank a defense.

Stanley has been getting with the program of late. Maybe it's just better understanding his role. Taking good shots, and not being a total disaster on offense. Doing a good job of helping to make plays and move the ball. Defending much better, including rebounding. A relief to see him playing better.

I haven't heard anything concrete about it, but wouldn't be too shocked if it doesn't get tried if things don't improve. I mean it seems more likely than trading Dre and replacing him with Nerlens Noel?

i don't think we should start SJ but there's no doubt he's played better lately. he's gotten more minutes in the last 7 games and he's shooting 57% from the field AND from 3 in that stretch, even though it's only on a few shots a game. he's looking a bit more comfortable with the ball too, he's not making plays off the dribble but he's not bogging down the offense. and obviously, he's bringing effort on the defensive end and on the boards.

it's definitely a welcome sight after he struggled early on this year.

KCP and Stanley or even Ellenson are key players because it is between one of them the player who could explode and gives us a star caliber player.

He's being much more decisive with his moves and isn't fumbling the ball around every time he touches it. He's making positive contributions, big on defense and distributing the ball as well, he's a good passer.

God. Just do it SVG! Him and KCP would create havoc on the defensive end.

I know this will never happen... but I'm now firmly on board with the following starting lineup.

KCP
Stanley
Harris
Dre

More than anything I just want to see Ish start. We are a totally different team. I think adding another strong perimeter defender will make a world difference as well and Stanley deserves a spot. One could easily argue for either Mook or Leuer at PF and I wouldn't complain... that would be a better defensive lineup, but I like having at least one above average offense player out there.

If we're starting Ish then you go Harris - but SVG won't do that to RJ so:

RJ 28 - Ish 20
KCP 30 - Bull 18
SJ 24 - Harris 24
Jon 14 - Mook 28 - Harris 6
Dre 33 - Jon 15

Only Dre plays more than 30, SJ gets enough playing time to prove he deserves more (or less) & we don't marginalize anyone that "may" deserve minutes (Bull)

We'd win more games or at least look watchable if Ish started again.

Since it looks like we're almost stealth tanking, I doubt SVG does this. Not to mention it would all but destroy whatever RJ's trade value was at.
