Anunoby will be alright, he can use the Force. They don't call him Anunoby1 for nothing (well, they actually don't. I made that up).
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Jonah Bolden looks a good prospect to stash away. Doing well in the adriatic league.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
I've been watching some tape of Frank Ntilikina.
I'd be all over trading up for him. He's Exum 2.0
I can see the Bucks really wanting him. Makes all the sense in the world for what they're building.

I think he will be better than Exum on both ends, he doesn't have the quickness and the first step Exum has and can't attack the rim like Exum, but his overall skill is much better than Exum's and he's extremely polished and long on the defensive end... His handle is very respectable, he has various moves off the dribble and shoots it off the dribble combined with moves(step backs, behind the back, hesitations). I wish Exum was as skilled as Frank is.

Between Brogdon and Dellavadova they are pretty much set at pg. What they need are bigs.

They do need bigs, but there's not a lot of them in this draft that would be worth chasing after over the guards. I think I like Frank more than any big in this draft by a mile.

With so many good PG's in the league and many of the teams at the top of the draft needing a big I really won't be blown away if their is a draft day deal sending Favs for a PG.

Anybody watching Louisville @ Florida State? I'm loving Isaac. They should involve him more. Things happen when he touches the ball...

He is so impressive and fun to watch. If I'm the jazz he is the type of player that I would go out of my way to target. Building a trade around Favors for Isaac on draft day is something I would strongly consider. Maybe instead of Favor you see a team like sixers wanting a young guard like Hood for their pick where we take Isaac. This also sets us up better salary wise going forward and clears some future money to re-sign Ingles.

Re: NBA 2017 Draft Prospects Thread
I just finished re watching last nights ute game against Washington to watch Fultz exclusively and I believe that he is going to be a James Harden type of player. This kid is truly special. It kills me that Favors is struggling so bad because if he was playing like his normal self we may be able to build a trade around him for the nets picks. If he does snap out of this funk and gets going then we need to make something happen. Obviously their is no guarantee that the pick would be number 1 but we at least give ourselves the opportunity and our consolation prize would be Ball, Dennis Smith, Josh Jackson, Isaac or Tatum. Just writing those names reminds me of just how special this draft really is.

I could be wrong but Dallas, Miami, and Minnesota seem like teams that could trade their pick. Favs, Exum, and two draft picks seem like a good haul for one lotto pick.

I proposed Hood and our 2 firsts to Philly for their best 1st rounder. They were interested, but didn't want to give up the LAL pick if it ends up being in the top 5.
Not sure where their own pick will end up, but should be top 10.

This is not happening. We are not trading key players for future assets before Hayward and Hills future is decided.

Wouldn't shock me at all if we trade either of Hood or Favors on draft night for a top 10 pick.
Jazz are going to need some rookies that can contribute on cheap contracts.
Still not sure why you keep saying no to all Hood trades, even when it's for a top draft pick. You're on record saying you'd trade Favors away for a top pick, why not Hood? Favors is a much better player than Hood.

IMO Favors is not getting traded for a pick before Hayward makes his decision either. I would trade anybody on our roster for the right price, but right now nobody will be willing to give us the right price because it includes the hidden cost of potentially losing Hayward for nothing. In a vacuum I'd trade Favors for top 3-4 maybe 5 pick. And I'd trade Hood for top 5-7 pick. And I'd trade Gobert for Fultz. We are not operating in a vacuum though, we are operating in a world where we cannot afford to lose our best player.

I think you need to stop beating this dead horse that we can't make a move because we are scared of losing Hayward. I think that assumption is seriously underrating Hayward's basketball IQ because he knows that we can't keep everyone based on the contracts that they want. With our depth it is a very easy sell that we are making a proactive move for the betterment of our team going forward while not sacrificing the now.

Agree to disagree. Precisely because of his basketball IQ, I expect DL to make everything possible to stack the team to win now with him. No player who wants to win now is thinking "Hey you know what will be great for the team? Trade top 3 player on our roster for an 18 year old." I think people who think this type of trade don't play any role in his decision in the summer are being incredibly naive.

Hood is not a top 3 player on our roster...
Talk about basketball IQ. Yeesh.

I was talking about Favors. But even Hood is a starter and the same rationale is operative.

No rookie selected in this draft will be contributing to team wins until 2019 at the earliest. So any move where you sacrifice a rotation player for a rookie will be a step-back over the next two years.
Do you think the Jazz window for a championship is better in the next two-to-three years or in five-to-seven years given the current roster and draft assets?
