Antoine walker is the only player on that list that wouldn't be a positive player for every team in the league (not coincidentally he was also the only one with ts% in the 40's). I just can't see any reason to not be impressed with a 20 year old doing what Booker has done in his short career. He's been that team's number one option and done it on or above league average efficiency at an age that is still younger than when most rookies come into the league. He's a bad defender, sure, but how many 20 year old aren't? And as a sg it's perfectly possible to be horrible defender and still have a positive impact as harden has Proven. Looking at his draft class how many of those guys are good defenders yet? I think it's Winslow, Oubre, RHJ, and Nance Jr?

I just don't understand why anyone would be skeptical of booker unless you're skeptical of literally every young player in the league right now save embiid.

I'm skeptical of one dimensional volume scorers.

He's 6th or 7th in ast% among starting sg's. It's higher than Harden's was in his second year.

He ranks just behind Melo.

Okay? Are you contending that being Melo would be a bad thing?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

No, but using him for assist numbers isn't.

That said I 'm going to pay more attention now, just checked split sand he is going off since they put Knight on the bench.

Fwiw through two years he looks better as a playmaker than Durant or Harden. I don't think he'll ever reach Harden's current level and unless his draw rate has a massive spike there's no chance he reaches their level as a scorer, but his trajectory seems to be headed straight into the Ray Allen level of SG's. That's a damn fine player, even if you'd probably prefer him as a second option. I don't see anyone else in that draft class I'd even consider over booker except towns and porzingis. The kid is going to be good undoubtedly, great probably, and has an outside shot at being a true star.

I've been in love with cam since we drafted him but in a world where booker hasn't been impressive he and 26 other guys haven't even looked like NBA players.

I'm totally ready to be dead wrong. Its happened a lot and the more I look at things, he's better than I thought. Still think a tad overrated but better than I first thought, and better than Cam which I said a while ago.

Still think Turner may have been the better pick though.
