man g reen and mills have been in slump shooting lately blowing open looks
as for ginoboli im done with this clown
spurs really need a dirty player who is willing to put body on the line to drawk charges, havnt seen much charges this season besides in this cavs game where the spurs manage to get 2 calls...
murry is the real deal, was hoping he got more minutes in the 2nd half and ot, instead they continue to play mills who kept on throwing up bricks or not putting himself in position to be free to shoot...
anderson needs to do more offensively, they are just sagging off on him every time he touches the ball cause they know his going to pass it up anyway...just makes it harder for the team to get pts when they needed it ouside of kawhi.
as for kawhi, he needs to really attempt to score instead of trying to get fouls on off balance shots

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
david lee is turning out to be an absolutely perfect fit, amazing that most people (myself included) just completely forgot that this guy was a free agent and i cant believe he is only getting paid like $1.5m?!
Travis Outlaw: Oh man. That feels great. To have a bobblehead of me is just terrific.

I love watching Kawhi play, but sometimes it feels like he's more ball dominant Russell Westbrook. Frustrating to see every now and then.

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
This was a great basketball game. Both teams played great.
Spurs conclussions:
1- David Lee was a steal. He's always been talented, but i'm impressed with his effort.
2- Murray is very talented (star material), i like him a lot for the Spurs. But he's 2 years away cause he's too young. But this experience is huge for him and his game. Keep learning DM.
3- I thought that Kawhi not closing in the 4th was more due to being tired. Went back to scoring in OT. Guy is a beast

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
It was a nice win and I liked the performances of Kwahi, LMA(in the 4th), Lee and Murray. But I honestly didn't think we played that well at all.
Love is still hurt and missed a few wide open shots he usually makes. James made some bad turnovers. Any team playing Iman Shumpert large minutes in its backcourt has some injury problems.
I liked Murray's aggressiveness which I think was in part to trying to impress his idol LeBron. Thats ok though if he could do it consistantly.
Lee is a PERFECT player for the Spurs. I'm just praying he stays healthy.
Anderson played well in spots but is still destroying us offensively by not shooting wide open shots.
I don't see why people are still complaining about Ginobili, he has played like this for his entire career. You have to take the bad with the good.
IMO we need to mix a little bit more Aldridge in with the Kwahi hero ball. You could see James taking it as a personal challenge to stop Kwahi and other teams are going to key on this come playoff time

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
Manu has been much more bad than good, that's the problem.
He is shooting 36% from two pointers. In his bench minutes he is turning the ball over 1.5 times per game and attempting 3.5 threes per game. I've also said before that the amount of gambles he makes on defense don't ever show up on stat sheets for easy scores for the opponents. I still think he needed to retire.
And I do see the reasoning behind the concern for Kawhi's iso play, but it'll serve us well in the playoffs.
A lot of our failures over the years have come when our system isn't producing points and we don't have someone to just go to and get a bucket or get to the line. Having that in Kawhi, with his improved skills and huge increase in confidence is going to be priceless.

Man...I wasn't a Spurs fan until this year...but even with that I have a huge respect for Manu, so I can't understand, even with him struggling lately, that a Spurs fan describe him as a "clown". Just disgusting.
When this account gets more "And1"s than posts written ...then my life will be complete. And maybe it will be the right time to hang it up. (Achieved on 2017-2018 season)...but still here.

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
Nerve racking game that was all over the place late in the game. But we managed to pull it off.
The positives:
- Kawhi - He faded a bit late (mostly due too fatigue) but he carried us and play one hell of a game on both ends. Just incredible.
- The small ball lineup - That lineup with Anderson at the 4 was outstanding on both ends.
- Lee - Another strong performance from him. Did some excellent work on the glass, played solid defense and as always scored around the rim.
- Murray - Showed his age a bit at times but for the most part was outstanding once again. His pose and ability to finish around the rim are top notch. Would of liked to see a little more of him late in the game but I understand Pops decision to go with Mills.
- Anderson - The boxscore doesn't really reflect the impact he had on this one. His defense was outstanding (he did leave Korver open twice though) and he made a lot of smart plays on the offensive end.
The bad:
- LMA - He did make some crucial plays late in the game but he was also invisible for the first 3 quarters of the game.
- Green - Missed a few too many open shots and got worked over on the defensive. He did do an okay job on Kyrie but when he had to switch onto Lebron it was game over.

And 40% from 3s.. I think you're clearly hating and looking at the stats that will help you to back it up. Spurs have won more games cause of Manu than they lost because of him. Of course he's not in his prime, but at 39 he's still producing and helping the team. And if you don't know by now that Manu (even in his prime) is way more than stats, bro you're not a real Spurs fan or just don't watch basketball.

Re: GT: Spurs vs. Cavaliers
I've been watching the game and following the Spurs for nearly 25 years actually.
You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. If you think a 39 year old guard is doing more good than bad than so be it.
We may not have anyone that could step in and do better but that doesn't mean he is doing a good job.
Manu is a legend, but it boggles my mind that he decided to keep playing.
