Looks like he can score... Not much else though

Here is a small highlight clip. Kind of cool that the D-League does this.

He looked good today. Looks like a willing defender as well. I like him.

If he hits a good clip from 3 and isn't a turnstile on defense he could fit nicely next to Simmons possibly for stretches.

Ilyasova was acquired for Embiid. I have a feeling that Chasson Randle will play a big role with Ben Simmons.

I'd guess Ben Simmons return is very near.

Ye they do a pretty good job of highlighting and archiving the success of guys from the D-league.

I hope he sticks around, at least on another 10 day.

He didn't get a ton of PT, but when he did he nailed a 3, and then contributed in the Milwaukee game (which we won) with 10 points. I like his skill set

Claimed Mo to get closer to salary cap floor, but don't we need a roster spot to do that? Does this mean we're not re-signing him?

EDIT:

So, the only way this makes sense is if we claimed him, cut him, and then re-signed Chasson immediately. The timing of the reports and lack of information is making this confusing.

If I'm wrong I'm sure HW can clarify.

It's not that confusing. Randle's 10-day contract expired. We claimed Mo Williams, then basically immediately waived him. Then signed Randle to a 2nd 10 day. What is confusing?

You can sign someone the second you waive someone, even though they haven't cleared waivers.

So for Philly they had 15 guys, Randle expired. They claimed Mo to get back to 15. Waived Mo down to 14. Signed Randle again to get back to 15.

Delaying Randle's signing till today instead of yesterday made sense to get 1 more day of him, as this is Randle's last 10 day with Philly, after it they need to sign for the rest of the season or cut ties.

TBH i was impressed with this dude against Milwaukee. Showing the range mostly but also looked really alright in defense. Really disapointed that we didn't see him since (in competitive minutes) specially knowing that Sergio is out of the rotation (?)

I'm rooting for him big time - Brett if you're reading bro you know what you have to do

When the 10 day contract is over (27 jan) can we resign him again for another 10 day? Wanna see him with Ben too. Can be a nice fit there

Nope, if we want to keep him, we have to sign him for the remainder of the season. We can't sign him to another 10 day contract

Would've liked to see more of him. Unless a deal is imminent that a roster spot opens up,I can't see him returning.

The contract is not over the 27th. He was signed the 20th and it was a 10 day contract.

But yes as said above, after it does end it is time to make a rest of season offer or part ways.

In the little playing time Randle had here, there were flashes of potential. Wouldn't mind having him stay, but if the process is still alive, Colangelo is going to churn that last roster spot until he finds someone like Covington.
