I see tweener only being a problem on the defensive side tbh. I think he can guard 3's and 4's eventually. I guess his handles are a little weak but his vision is underrated and he has a decent 3 point shot. Not everyone in the backcourt has to be able to break a man off the dribble and score.
I think he guards the 3 no problem, you can sit him on the 3 point line during half court offensive and he'll be a problem in transition. I'd love him on our team and with how tough he is/how hard he plays, he'd take carroll's job in pre-season.
His vision is actually pointed out as one of his strengths in every mock I've seen. The guy makes some nice passes. I'd take him over Carroll now, but I just never liked the Carroll signing. lol.
Great passer, it's why I was so surprised he wasn't talked about as much coming into the year. I watched a lot of his High school games just because he played at Andrew Wiggins former HS. Dude, had triple doubles on multiple occasions. And stupid stat lines like 30, 20 and 10.
I hope we get him.
It is what it is my man. 6'6 with average wingspan and power forward game. There are a lot of players like that floating around the D League as we speak. A guy as athletic as he is would definitely be worth a shot for a team that needs a homerun(which I think we do), but the potential of being a bust is there and not everyone wants a higher risk pick. Heck, we took Poeltl when we easily could have traded up for Chriss due to bust potential, even though his ceiling is much higher and we have needed a power forward for forever it seems.
If we landed Miles, I'd hope he'd dedicate himself to improving his handles like DeMar did. He has much better court vision, but if he can't post up or handle the ball, he won't be able to utilize it as much as he otherwise would.
The idea of having an electric young dunker on the team again is appealing to me though. Who doesn't want to be entertained?
We have three picks in total, including two first rounders, so there's really no reason to not go for the highest upside pick with one selection.
