GT: Spurs vs. Raptors

Post#1 » by Nolan » Tue Jan 24, 2017 1:53 pm

When: 5:00 PM MT Jan 24th 2017
Where: Air Canada Center, Toronto ON

Last time we faced the Raptors we handled them at home so they will be looking to get some revenge on us tonight. They're going to be without Derozan and possibly Patterson. The Raps have lost two in row coming into this one and they have been struggling a bit as of late but they still are one the better teams in the league and if we sleep on them they can beat us.

Go Spurs!!

Big game for us tonight boys. Kawhi will be rested on defense without DeMar slithering through PnRs. I'm looking forward to a great show.

Nice win, even though Danny Green was 0-34 from three it seemed.
Murray is playing with confidence
Bertans needs to just catch and shoot. If I was Pop, I would fine him everytime he dribbles.

Bertans made some plays off the dribble tonight, but he's only comfortable dribbling in his right hand. Aldridge is a nightmare late in games, he looks so afraid late in games. Still need Tony because of that.

Thought Bryn Forbes had some good minutes out there as well. He was called for a foul on a 3 twice, but one of those was a rookie call.

I got home just in time to miss the whole game, but getting a road W against even a hobbled Raps team, when we were so short-handed ourselves, is very nice.

Not happy to hear that LMA isn't showing that late-game fire, though.

Wanna see more of Forbes, think he could turn out quite good but his frame seems a bit small.

Im like Bertans more and more and Murray could turn into something special. I like the fact that his confident and a poor start shooting wise didn't deter him to make a clutch lay up to essentially win the game.

LMA has to stop choking when it matters though. I was concerned of this when he first arrive and he's still showing it.

Toronto is the 2nd best team in the east, winning without 3 starters in Toronto is a big accomplishment.

A win is a win. We somehow managed to squeak that one out without Kawhi.
