Epic choke job today.

I was at the game on Saturday and thought they could carry that hot shooting over to today, which they did. But just an awful defensive performance in the 2nd half, giving up 63 points.

Interesting that tix for the first round NCAA's are on Groupon. I always thought that sold pretty well, I wouldn't expect them to be on Groupon 2 months ahead of time.

My guess would be the weekend does very well, especially if UW is in it. But the weekday session not so much, even if UW is there. Well, because it's in the middle of a workday and UW should usually blow out whoever they play in round 1.

I went Saturday the last time in MKE which was the first Final Four year. UW played Oregon and Mich (Stauskus era) played Texas. Couldn't get a ticket in the lower bowl for under $300, and I tried all avenues and waited until after tip of the first game before I caved and paid it. Probably the best game environment I've been to in person so it was worth it. FF games are great but being the football stadiums kills the atmosphere.

Yeah I suppose it depends on UW or not. This is for all 3 sessions, it looks like it's about $10 off.

oh that changes it a bit. I'd expect UW to get an inflated record due to an easy schedule so likely a high enough seed to be in MKE. So might not be a bad thing to buy if you live there and are able to go to the weekday games too, since the weekend games will be good regardless if UW is there or not. Although $10 off isn't that big of a deal to lock yourself into it...

$66 bucks for only 1 session (2 games, right?) on a Thursday. That could be a really brutal watching 15/2 seed and 8/9 face-off (I don't have a bracket in front of me so know idea what realistic seeds would for each location). You either get a good team that will win in a blow out or a good game with 2 teams that don't have a realistic shot. Save your money and buy tickets for the Bucks/Wolves game the week before.

Also, not even sure if it's much of a discount. The NCAA only has all session tickets at $198. Which is <$213($66+66+$81) for Groupon.

Full disclosure: I watch college basketball but find it extremely overrated. I hate fans that claim that the college players are better shooters and guys in the NBA can't shoot. No, its just a shorter 3-point line and horrible defense. I'll let to see an average college player get off his set 3-point shot with the Claw or Greek Freak closing in.

Also, never understood the "more pure" part of the game. College basketball is one of the biggest cesspools around. And try telling me the Duane Wilson's of the world "play with more passion" than Giannis. End rant.

Not that it really matters because he doesn't know but Lunardi hasn't had Wisconsin playing in Milwaukee for a while now. Currently he has Arizona/Michigan or Wichita State, Notre Dame/Akron, Purdue/Illinois State and Creighton/UNC-Asheville playing in Milwaukee. A lot of those schools are close but other than Notre Dame, none have the big travelling fan base. Maybe Michigan but they're a 12 seed in this bracket and they might not even make it to Milwaukee since they're in the play-in game.

Don't know why they don't do what the hockey tournament does and put as many schools as they can as close to the host sites as they can, even if it means dropping them a seed or two.

Yea as of now he probably only has UW as like a 6 seed. Check out their schedule though, they probably shouldn't lose more than 2 games the rest of the way, maybe 3 counting conf tourney. If they're at 30ish and 5-6 and winners of the B1G regular season, they'll be high enough seed to play in MKE. That said, I wouldn't lock myself into the tickets if I'm not interested in going if they're not there.

I really cannot stand fans who say this BS. They complain the NBA is all one on one ball, yet the best teams in the league play ball predicated on passing (San Antonio, GS, CLE). Then they say noone can shoot, yet we have teams that are extremely efficient and shoot a ton of 3's. My favorite are the ignorant pricks who say college is better because the "underdog" always has a shot. My favorite was at a downtown bar, some racist said college is better cuz the all white teams actually have a shot against "black teams." Sickening people still think this way.

Going to my first Marquette game in a long time tomorrow. For those in the know - how much should I expect Marquette to lose by?

Coming off a nice win, so hopefully some carry over. I still think Villanova gets them by 12-13.

I'm not gonna lie, I was thrown off when Lunardi had MU in the tourney field (even before Creighton win). But I guess no real bad losses yet.

That's the key no bad loses yet but only one key win who was also without their best player from a torn acl. Nova would be huge but they are so damn good. If Marquette shoots the three often and well they have a shot.

Was that Creighton win a fluke or are they better than they're getting credit for?

That was the perfect storm of Nova playing not to lose up 10 with 5 minutes left and streaky MU getting hot right then.

Awesome finish to that game. Thon Maker was sitting front row as well.

Getting an up close look of what could have been had he gone to college for the fourth time.
