Harden. What he's doing with that roster is incredible.

1. Why is Lowry on the list and who voted for him?
2. It's mind-boggling that I live in a world where a guy averaging 30/10/10 this late into the season is considered by some to be the 3rd? 4th? 5th?! best player in the league? I'm so excited to watch him go off in the playoffs. TeamRuss

James Harden has been better, in my opinion.

Durant_ 26.1 ppg 54.3 fg% 39.0 3pt% 8.5 rpg 4.7 apg 1.2 spg 1.7 bpg 2.2 topg
Leonard 25.5 ppg 49.1 fg% 41.5 3pt% 5.7 rpg 3.2 apg 1.8 spg 0.7 bpg 1.9 topg

defensively (from what I've been hearing, Kawhi has not been doing to well this season) wheras KD (who has a bad defensive rap) is doing a lot to change that perception so far this season as he's been one of our defensive players (some of what can be evidenced by his increase in rebounding and blocking shots).

His roster really isn't bad at all. It has a good amount of firepower and is built extremely well around his playstyle.

I think Kawhi is the second best player. There are of course a handful of other players worth being in the discussion, I just can't help but feel that Kawhi impacts both ends of the court more than anyone else aside from Lebron.

LeBron
Westbrook
Harden
Kawhi
Durant

Westbrook would have the rockets as the second best team in West with their athleticism and shooting. Meanwhile OKC would be worst off with harden at the helm vs. Westbrook.

The Dantoni offense can't simply be dismissed. It's a huge factor in hardens performance.

Kawhi also isn't a good enough scorer(explosive scoring, not consistent) to be seen as superior to either of the two guards. But he is a better defender and tougher competitor then Durant. And somehow seems to be able to play LeBron and his teams really well, while LeBron usually owns KD.

Kawhi is the most overrated player in NBA for me.

Spurs without him:
2015-2016: 7-3
2016-2017: 4-0

Spurs opponents with Leonard: 108.0 ORTG
Spurs opponents without Leonard: 97.3 ORTG

Also Spurs are better with Kawhi off than on overall.

Kawhi is good, he is the perfect second option, but if you have him as a main guy you will never win a championship. He is blessed to have the GOAT coach. Spurs are good because Popovich.

Not sure Lebron is the best player in the NBA anymore but I voted for Westbrook. Was close between Harden.

Hard time choosing between Harden and Westbrook. I love Hardens offensive abilities and I love Westbrook motor.

I know one thing, Durant is not 2 or 3.

My tiers for this season.

Tier 1. Westbrook and Harden. Putting up monster stats and winning more games than they should with weaker rosters without having to join 3 all NBA players. Their efficiency might not be at the top, but they carry a much bigger load and don't have the luxury Durant and Lebron get every night.

Tier 2. Lebron, Durant, Kawhi. Lebron is coming off a monster finals, but judging him for this season? He hasn't been the best. Durant is having a career year, but that was to be expected teaming up with the league MVP, and the team with the best spacing of all time. I would be surprised if his effiency wasn't throught the roof considering the attention teams have to pay on Klay, Curry, and Draymond.

I am lazy to check the numbers, so let's use these from the MVP thread showing the impact of a player on the court - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1482190&start=1820#p51686023
