A true test of redemption for us, we played well against a better team in SA, we're at home and this is a division rival that has taken us to task over the past few matchups. We'll see is we can learn from our last game and play Murray a lot longer,,,,than Jameer anyway.

I expect from Utah to shut down all plays going over Joker. They really have good scouting on opponents offensive plays.

Would it be naive of me to think Murray would have better shot selection late in the 4th? I believe it with all my heart. :)

Anybody else thinking that Marlowe and Hastings are turning on Malone? The only coach I have heard them praise is Pop, but they are highly praising Snyder and how well he has taught his young players, how well they work together on both ends. I also noticed they spoke really highly of Burks and Favors for the first time in years, I used to having the gush over Hayward but that was a little surprising.

I get well over half of all Jazz games on my satellite package and I'm amazed at how well Snyder has managed his team this year with a boatload of injuries. It's a very deep team but he plays his stars the most and gives everyone enough opportunity that they feel like they are part of the team, even if they don't play every game. There don't seem to be any complaints about playing time or anything else.

Marlowe & Hastings also pointed out that Barton was running the offense when Murray was in the game. :banghead: :nonono: I just don't understand Malone's rotations/approach/whatever.

I noticed that as well, in fact Hastings purposely went out of his way to emphasis it to the broadcast.

Also I agree that Snyder is a good coach, but outside of Pop I don't think I have never heard them talk about another coach and how well his team is coached like they are about him though.

No I don't think it could be worse and it's giving me Anthony Carter vibes. Maybe seeing Malone pounding cough drops tonight is giving me George Karl flashbacks.

Watching Malone's body language does not inspire one with confidence.
Speaking of confidence; (forgive me for what I'm about to say please) Nelson played well towards the end of the game.

I wonder if the rumors about Nelson to the Cavs might be a factor in his sudden good play. Can't be a bad thing for a player to be mentioned as a trade target to a team favored to be in the championship game.
Canned in Denver.

Yes, now I am sure he is a great player cause Utah did play tough on him and they close out cuts for others while he was having the ball at elbow. But still Yoke had a solid game. He is so active on both ends, you rarely see him standing still. He makes really good picks, refs rarely whistle him for a moving in a block. On D he is not high jumper and huge blocker like Gobert but he has quick hands. Although scouting of Denver staff was bad because someone told Jokic to guard that guy who putted 14 in a 3rd in a wrong way. Basically Jokic was far away from him letting him shoot, he would not guard a guy like that if someone did not told him let him shoot.

Caught Utah on the back to back, great win, but you still wish you didn't give away that T-Wolves game.

23/11/6 is considered a solid game? You know the kid has arrived when that is considered a solid game. Yes he struggled on defense against Favors, but you are right that someone had to told him to stay back as he is usually better at guarding mid range guys better. Favors is very athletic for his size, and can get hot on those type of shots when he is on, but this year he has been struggling. So it may have been game planned to allow those shots as Malone seems to be more concerned about those athletic guys getting to the rim than the shots Favors was hitting.

The stretch from Favors is why I want him, he has a chance to be a great 3rd star, but it does not that the Jazz can afford to keep him. Hill is a great leader, Hayward is their 2nd best player, and Gobert is a damn good defensive cornerstone, they have to resign Hill and Hayward, and Favors may be the odd one out if they don't want to pay luxury tax.
