This has no bearing on him getting on the all star team. He's missing 2 games not a month.

The only reason he wouldn't make it this season is because of lack of playing time and missing games, he's now missing two games the week that the coaches voting. That will be 12 games missed entirely while playing an average of 25.3 mpg - that will likely be in the coaches minds when they're voting.

The are the last two games before the reserves are announced. As to how significant they are, I won't speculate.

They know a beast when they see one. Embiid will be on the team. I'm 95% confident he will be.

Yes, a Canadian girl and one from my neck of the woods (lives about an hour away from me).

It'd be so hilarious to stop off in Red Deer some day on my way to Calgary and see him hanging out at Timmy's (Tim Horton's donut shop).

Does he ever hang out after/before games? Got seats vs. Washington next month in row 12 and hoping to get a picture or something.

Hmmm. Local Bandwagon fans who adopted other teams with stars, are now 76ers fans because of Embiid.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I sure hope so. I have seats three rows behind the bench at Sunday's game in Chicago. Hope he plays. If not, hope he travels.

He's been a fairly regular poster since before we've had recent success. It's not like he's renounced the Thunder.

He actually went to war for us a few times on the general board with some obnoxious posters.

Nope, couldn't afford tix when OKC was in town. He's a fun kid though, I have nothing against Philly, but they're definitely not my team. Actually a Pacers fan in the east, kinda like the Bucks for Giannis too.

Don't you F with Russ though.

Embiid named NBA player of the week. Congrats big fella, well deserved. Perfect timing, as all star reserves are to be announced.

Biid is currently 6th in RPM among C's, and 28th in the entire league. Kid is unreal!

Great article on Embiid.

People are starting to realize what he is.

If he is dominant on national TV tomorrow, and the Sixers win, watch his fame explode. I think that we have known for a long time that he will be one of the best players in the league if he is healthy, but the casual NBA fan still doesn't get it completely.

I am looking forward to the day where Shaq calls Embiid the best bigman in the league on TNT, and Kenny and Charles agree. That day is coming...

I doubt Shaq ever does that. He refused to ever call Dwight Howard the best center in the league (when he clearly was during his stint in Orlando - before his back issues and issues with van Gundy)...

Shaq was annoyed that his nickname was also superman. However, I think the key was that Dwight was a big goof. That was Shaq's role in the NBA, which I think he was threatened by.

Embiid has a similar personality, and is way more talented than Dwight ever was, and as far as shooting goes, obviously better than Shaq. I'd say Embiid is also a better defender than Shaq was, although Shaq was quite good...

Unless Embiid befriends Shaq, and gets some tutelage from him, I never see Shaq saying that...

Embiid is living up to my lofty expectations for him. I wouldn't trade him for any other Center.

I will say, you went full crazy on your 1st season predictions and so far so good. Most of us expected good but not historic. kudos.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Well he said Bynum was the best bigman in the league so it isn't like he won't give out the praise. I think that Dwight was such an unskilled offensive player that Shaq never respected him. I also think that Dwight was disliked on a personal level.

I think that Shaq will eventually love Embiid because he is bringing back the big man.

He also predicted correctly that the heat pick would not convey 2 years ago.

Must have a magic crystal ball or some ****!
