Do Magic have potential?

Post#1 » by heyPlayer » Thu Jan 26, 2017 2:19 pm

I'm trying to figure out if these guys have potential or not?

They are pretty polarized. They've beaten Spurs at San Antonio, OKC @ thunder and also got beat by some horrible road teams at home.... But overall they seem to disappoint. How can they beat San Antonio at SA and also not put up a fight vs Lakers @ LA?

They are relatively young so it can't be attributed to the fatigue of the season as much.

The team, as a whole, does not. There are individual pieces that still have some potential....but they are unlikely to reach it with the way the team is constructed.

I'd also so individually there's some potential with Gordon and Payton. Outside of that it's a team full of vanilla veteran players. So as a team currently constructed, I see NO potential in this team. It reminds me of an expansion team if Vuc and Ibaka weren't on it.

this is how i feel. Payton is really coming around under Vogel and Forcier. show much more consistency.

AG, you can see some talent there, I just dont ever know if his offense will be consistent. It could be he is more consistent at PF, and that will only happen if Ibaka is traded, which who knows at this point.

Vuc is a double double, but i dont see extremely high potential there.

Fournier needs to midnset back to spot up shooter. Not is fault, but too much offense focus is put on him and he cant handle it.

Like others are saying, I see potential in Payton and Gordon. Fournier, as well.

But other than that, we're just a bad team - and I don't think Gordon will reach his potential unless he plays his natural position.

there are players with potential
the roster as a whole as very little.

they built a 1990's roster, the game has changed and they tried to outsmart everyone and have failed
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

We may have a potential top 5 pick this year.

Yeah, I echo similar thoughts as the above as well. Our youngest guys have potential to do something but the roster exacerbates a lot of flaws. I think(that is hope) we have approached the floor of our talent but the ceiling isn't looking like it will be better than some of our other rosters.

Yeah... they will potenatially end up with the 2nd worst record in the league.

They potentially have the worst GM in the league.

They potentially could have potential in 5 years.

I don't see FZ player potential in anyone on the roster.

Gordon has the most potential followed by Payton. Neither have star potential imo which is why getting a top pick and using it effectively in this draft is so important.
