The melo lovers thinks KP will take the crap of the media once Melo is gone but they don't realize everyone understands young players struggling, especially through injuries. Heck, most of us think we would be better off resting KP and tanking right now, Melo is preventing that. There will be no "storm", in fact everyone will be in much more unity like you said, patience

Not sure why everyone is excited. Very premature move by the Knicks. KP isn't close to being ready to assume the alpha dog role. What the Knicks need is a true point guard to complement Melo and Porzingis and some defenses pieces around them. Along with a defensive scheme and coach that works.

Celtics are not trading for Melo but I could possibly see them getting Love in a 3 way deal.

Celtics: Love
Cavs: Melo
Knicks: Picks, expiring contracts

Horford and Love would be a pretty good inside-out combo.

The new CBA made cap space far less valuable than it used to be. Who are they going to sign this summer who is better than Melo? Hayward? I think that is a bit overstated, simply because Stevens is the coach. He seems pretty happy in Utah and he can get paid way more there. Not only would they have Melo this year, but next, and potentially a few more years after that. To me the issue with the Celtics has always been Melo's seeming unwillingness to go there, not the other way around.

It is like they completely ignore the 76ers are passing us in the standings right now without Ben Simmons. We suck with Melo again, might as well aim for the glorious season and rebuild

True but maybe he really wants to stay in Utah. It's a risk hoping to land him because if they don't they really won't have many other options left. Blake Griffin is a possibility but still a risk to take hoping to get him. Plus, they have to wait until the summer and then hope for success next year. Melo is a player they can get for sure, right now and he can help them win this year. So we will see what route they choose to take

it's not about getting rid of noah. it's about the hubris in the signing of joakim noah. i'd rather keep him at that point at least we know we'll lose a **** of games. everyone else needs to get the **** outta though especially rose and lee.
