The Cavs turned us down on our offer of Melo for Love. They aren't interested. We are now looking at other avenues. Boston has been trying to get Melo since last year, Phil wasn't interested in their offer at the time because he wasn't interested in trading Carmelo. Now he's ready to deal so he's exploring all options. Not sure why the Cavs keep getting thrown into the mix, they already made it well known that they are not interested in trading Kevin Love.

Cavs should be able to get Melo without giving up Love with some future picks if there is no better offer, Love for Melo is sideways at best but if they get Melo without giving up Love or anyone significant thats something

Could do something revolving around JR, Frye, and/or Shump. Would probably have to send out O'Quinn so Cavs have someone to replace Frye.

Considering Kyrie is still young I would have to settle with minimum of 3 first round picks beyond 2020 including swaps

Crowder is better than Melo to me right now in terms of being a winning player. Plays D, brings toughness, and moves the ball.

Crowder plays in a different system..a winning one..but...in no gym in the world is he a better player then Melo.

No way Crowder would come back to NY in a trade. He'd be needed to cover for Melo's D. Wouldn't make sense.

Something that would be a crazy blockbuster is if Horford got sent elsewhere to make room for Melo.

Right and I'm sure the Cavs would love to do something like that, but what else do they really have to offer? Shumpert, Frye and I think most of their 1st rounders were already dealt over the years. It would be some draft pick a few years down the road but I'm not sure when exactly that would be.

To be honest I don't know if the Cavs are going to make a blockbuster trade like that. They may look to add some smaller pieces but for the most part they will likely keep that core group together. They may look at some bench pieces, like Lou Williams or Bledsoe but not sure they even have the assets for those guys, maybe.

Isola says were talking to the Clippers, and still talking to them even without one of Paul, Griffin, Deandre included.
I'd be willing to do it we get 2 future first round picks from them unprotected in 2020-2022, in addition to Redick and Crawford, assuming we can flip Redick and Crawford for some additional picks and young talent.
