The Clippers provide a destination for Melo to go to. The Knicks from pretty much every avenue basically want to move on.

It makes no sense to break up their three to add Melo when they have parts to get it done and perhaps some help from a third team. I'd say Miami because of Dragic who has played for Horn.

but at any rate, I do think this gets done relatively quick and the deal wont be what some are hoping for.

This garbage is gonna fall flat. Clippers saying they want Lee? I'm laughing if they mean "instead of Melo". That would mean the Celtics don't want him, the Cav's (owner) doesn't want to appease the most powerful player on the planet by getting Melo, the Clips want a cheaper option (Lee) and now all Phil is left with is to keep dangling Melo's availability until a franchise is stupid enough not to know what's going on swoops in... and what are the chances of that? LOL! So basically, if nothing happens, Melo, knowing he was thrown out there and with no takers, will wreak havoc - and I don't mean in a good way and I don't mean on the floor. He is gonna be a media nightmare continuously matching swipes with Phil. This has Marbury/Larry Brown all over it. The Knicks aren't blowing up this team, they probably watching it blow up in their face!

I'm not too enthused about trading for a 36-year old shooting guard that comes off the bench with 3 years remaining, each with $13-14M per season. I prefer a Paul Pierce contract where a 39 year old is paid $3.7M.

If the Knicks want to build around KP then they need to trade Melo for tradable assets. So Blake Griffin sounds right because they can turn around and trade Blake for a future draft pick. Blake's $20M per season with 2 years remaining is VERY attractive to any team.

The Clippers are wildly inconsistent this season. They were spanked by the "Raise the Cat" Sixers. Noel had a field day on Griffin.

This reminds me a lot of the Detroit Pistons who had an unhappy Grant Hill. The media was exerting pressure hoping they'd trade away their best asset for a pile of garbage. Instead they did a sign and trade which netted them Chucky Atkins and Ben Wallace. Pistons win an NBA title and Grant Hill/T-Mac never goes as far as they had hoped.

I saw some posts on the Bulls board about Jerian Grant going off on twitter about he is a winner and plays to win. Now that I think of it, didn't KG make Big Baby cry? Maybe Rondo isn't being completely honest here, those vets he had hated to lose and if they were losing like the Bulls are now, they probably would have gone off on eachother too.

The best fit for both sides would be Melo to Denver if we're being honest. That team is loaded with B level assets that they have too many of.

Nurkic, Gallinari, and Hermangomez along with a pick for Melo.

Melo would be the prodigal son.

I know these things take time, but i think we should do everything we can to trade him before the game tomorrow night. He's been playing very well, putting up 30 points several times this week. He's value can't get much higher than it is right now and we risk injury continuing to play him.

Courtney Lee is trash, if you haven't noticed. I want Crawford for his shorter deal, that's about it. He will be an asset after next year as an expiring contract.
