When you're short-handed, playing in altitude, and each lineup you try struggles, you go a different way. I didn't much care for the strange lineups either, I just didn't think it was a big deal given the circumstances.

Fair points all around; I am just really on edge with the McD "are we a playoff team" comments, as this and the next game are of utmost importance in that decision. It's good to give Earl SOME credit every so often, and while it is a disagreement that I hold, I have to remember that he is technically a rookie head coach, and many situations he encounters are, in fact, completely new.

As am I. But, I'm pretty sure he's just as aware as we are that a high draft pick NEEDS to be in our immediate future. For some time now you could tell he was in full rebuild mode and happy to accept losses while the young kids developed. But the recent surge has put him in a bind. I'm sure Sarver is okay with the rebuild when there seems to be little choice to do otherwise but once it starts looking like we already have the foundation in place, I doubt he wants to continue suffering through the light crowds and the bad national press. Winning now would help cure both of those things even if it was arguably not the best thing for our future.

+1 Eric Bledsoe: Solid game on offense, but he was getting worked my old man Jameer Nelson at times on defense. Bledsoe has a reputation as a good defender, but I feel like he's been a bit lackadaisical at times this year on that end.
+1 Brandon Knight: Good first half, not as good second half but he wasn't destroying the game like he tends to do so that deserves recognition.
+1 Devin Booker: Needed some of the 3's to fall, but he scored efficiently and in a variety of ways. He's such a bad defender though, I remember a stretch in the 3rd where he got scored on 3 possessions in row where they were seeking to get him switched onto the ball to go at him. Good job distributing for 6 assists, but 5 turnovers is far too much.

-3 Marquese Chriss: After seeing some improvement with his fouling tendencies, he's now picked up 8 fouls in his last 20 minutes on the court, which is absurd. He didn't do anything particularly bad when he was on the court, but he deserves a negative for playing himself off the court.
-3 Tyson Chandler: He got dominated by Jokic tonight, and we got dominated on the boards partially because of it. We can't allow teams to get 19 offensive rebounds on us, and it starts with Tyson holding his own on the boards. Jokic had a ridiculous 8 offensive rebounds tonight and we got out rebounded by 18 rebounds.

I end up agreeing with you a lot on these. Very good notes. Another note on Chriss: He's also picked up just 3 rebounds and 12 fouls in his last 37 minutes. His issues get exposed big time in games like this. (I also don't like him looking at the refs even when someone bumps him during FTs or something.)

Bled & Book eesh!

So with the max being 3, split between Warren and Knight? I'm not sure what eesh means, but 3 Warren and 1 for each of the others you mention?

Just split it. Knight deserves a little love any who.

"eesh" meant- Despite both their high scoring totals, I thought they had pretty poor games in every other department
