Vucevic costs less than Nerlens will, he rebounds better than either of them, he defends better than Okafor, he scores better than Noel, he's only 26 - it's a decent middle ground. He's been the best player on those Orlando teams for years, and if we bring him to Boston and he puts up points on a 50 win team, there's going to be a ton of hype for him like IT has started getting.
Word is Blake's re-signing in LA, I could give a damn about Milsapp - and if Hayward calls us back in July, we can clear 13 million off the books to get back to max space - or sign and trade for him. If he doesn't, we still have a new BKN draftee and 17-ish million to absorb Butler, Cousins or Wall, the combined money of IT/Bradley/Crowder and Vucevic, and/or newly extended Smart and Olynyk.
Adding Vucevic (or a cap hold for Noel) would leave us enough cap space to have flexibility while making us incrementally better. We could even trade Vuc at the draft, if we wanted to.
It's a relatively 'safe' move. Would even deal Crowder in the mix if it brought back Hezonja.
