Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

If we do keep our top 3 pick somehow some way Fultz falls to 2-3. He's probably gone with first pick by Boston.

I have a feeling he'll be in Boston too.. with the second pick. Lakers probably get first and take the hometown kid, Ball.

Lakers loosing guards this off season? I keep seeing folks say they'll draft Ball.

Take a wing or move it if I could.

Russell can play on or off the ball, Clarkson is a backup, and Lou and Young are in their 30s. They are not in a position to nor have any good reason to do anything but BPA.

Certainly not Ball. He's far from BPA at #2 imo. Jackson or Smith, maybe Isaac.

GOod chance clarkson and LouWIll get traded and Nick Young opt out....(All this summer)

If the lakers have fultz available, there is no way they don't pick Fultz over Ball or anyone else. The laker fans that keep saying Ball are the hardcore Cali kids that want one of their own to play for them

So it's ludicrous to think there's a talent gap from college to the NBA? They aren't taller, faster, better at the NBA level? lmao. okay. Thinking he'll be just as successful at his bread and butter i.e. dribble drive...at the NBA level is what is ludicrous. That's like saying "I always find it somewhat ludicrous that a great college scorer like Jimmy Fredette won't be able to score in the NBA"...or "it's ludicrous to think this 6'9" college center won't be able to block shots and play center at the next level".

Fultz will not be able to dribble drive against NBA caliber players like he can in college. He is not an above the rim type finisher that will overcome 7 footers coming at him if/when he does take the poorer defenders off the dribble like he does in college. Ludicrous? No...just common sense.

People act like just because I don't view him as a top 10 pick in a historically great draft that that means he sucks. No, it just means I don't see quite the upside and there's a risk involved with taking him high. I'd rather take the risk on the other 3 PGs and some of the elite wings and big men in this class. I can totally see Fultz eventually being a good starter but I'm not seeing All Star games.

Remember, I care more about redrafts after 3 years than where guys get drafted now. There are mostly idiots running these franchises. See you all in three years when I make a redraft thread!!

Neither is Kyrie Irving. Who Fultz is 3-4 inches taller than and significantly longer. And Kyrie might be one of the best guard finishers in the history of the game. So was Tony Parker. You don't need to be a Russell Westbrook/Derrick Rose leaper to finish around the basket.

I would be happy with monk . He's playing well right now against 2 seed Kansas. He can shoot the 3. He's got it so far.

Not shocking since people love to make LA connections. Just like how we were supposed to sign DeRozan, Westbrook, etc..... Having said that i would be pretty shocked if Fultz isn't the number 1 no matter which team has the first pick.

If today's game wasn't proof that you guys are delusional than I don't know what is. Playing a solid opponent and good defensive PG Fultz looked way overrated:

16-8-3

8-23, 0-4 3 pt, 0-4 FT, 3 TO (lucked out on several others)

basically exactly what I said. He's a chucker, a sloppy player, poor FT shooter, streaky overall shooter and doesn't will his team to win. In this game when he did penetrate (needed a screen) he was met by 7 footers and he couldn't finish like he does against crap teams. His defense was real bad too. I'm talking Harden bad. He's not head and shoulders above other prospects. He's among them. Anyone can go #1. Time for fanboys to come to this realization. The hype train and performances against bad opponents got everybody losing their minds.

For Celtics fans: we would gain nothing over IT by taking Fultz. I'd rather sign IT long term than draft Fultz and then let IT leave eventually for nothing. Jonathan Isaac would be my pick if I was Danny. He's a cross between Bosh and KG. You don't pass up elite big men like him or wings like Jackson, Tatum, or Bridges for PGs.

Kadeem Allen might be the best perimeter defender in the country and he was on a mission. I'm thinking Fultz knows he made a mistake and might start going thru the motions ala Ben Simmons. They're not even a borderline NIT team at this point.

and that's just about what he should expect on a nightly basis in the NBA. A defender who doesn't just let him drive on by and 7 footers on help defense waiting in the wings if a screen helps that happen. If you take that one elite thing he has shown he can do against subpar college teams, what do you have that makes him a better prospect than Isaac, Ball, Jackson, Tatum, DSJ, etc?

It's possible he puts in the work and becomes a very solid pro. I just think the "clear #1" talk has got to stop.

I mean Tatum, Ball, Isaac and DSJ all had really bad games this week...so probably not the best time to beat your chest about an off-night from Fultz against an elite defense?

Fultz drove on Arizona plenty of times today. He just didn't finish like he normally does. Still the top prospect in the country. 1 bad game by an 18 year old against a tough defense who zeroed in on him, and he had an off night shooting the ball.

So basically he's one of the best players in the history of basketball, bold statement. I wouldn't pass on that for Markelle Fultz either.

Hard to score when the entire opposition team can defend you and not worry about the other players having an impact
